I’m not suprised. Monty, Cousins, Perkins, Stern, etc.. the list goes on. Demps was definitely not respected around the league.

I'll only take exception to the leaking stuff..it would be one thing had Paul and co. privately just asked to be traded and then Demps leaked to embarrass him, but you were demanding it be done to a specific team for a package that was bad for the team. Sorry I can't really blame Dell for shining a light on what was pretty blatant tampering. Hell, I'm sure other small market GMs encouraged him to do so.

What did people want Dell to do differently? Regarding non-player decisions his hands were tied as he worked under the now blown up organizational structure.
I don't put much stock into what Cousins and Perkins have to say. Cousins made his own decision to not extend and was burned. Perkins was here one year, missed more than half of games, and didnt play great in limited minutes.
Perkins says Dell leaked the trade request and not Davis/Paul. Do we believe that?
If more come out so there's more smoke, maybe there's a fire and Dell was a problem. Until then, I'll believe Dell was a decent guy and competent GM working in a difficult situation. But he had plenty of time and it was time to blow it up and move on.

I think its plausible demps leaked once they made it apparent he was forcing his way to LAL and only LAL.

Yeah that doesn't make sense.
Regardless, we needed to turn a new leaf and Griffin seems like a first class kinda guy who is respected by pretty much everyone around the league.

Demps shoulda been fired years ago. Worse thing for this franchise was when he pulled the rabbit out of his hat with the cousins trade. I think he was getting fired that offseason. Shoulda been fired just for the Hill contract, 12 million a year for someone averaging 4 points a game???
