We could have gotten a better shot than a fall away 3.

Memphis has had some VERY lucky rolls this quarter.

We need to trade Ball, Bledsoe, and Adams; trade the picks

PG: Brogdon/Lewis
SG: NAW/Hart/Didi
SF: Ingram/Marshall/Hart
PF: Zion/Johnson/Gabriel
C: Turner/Hayes

50+ wins, top 4 seed.

I like Nickeil but he should have let Lonzo shoot that shot..

Memphis should be ashamed of themselves for letting this be this close. We started Eric Bledsoe and keeping it close.

Memphis and San Antonio are in purgatory. Decent teams but no real superstars. Not good enough to contend, not bad enough to tank.

And before anyone asks, no I don’t think Morant or Derozan are superstars.

Last two posts were all over Bledsoe, why? Bledsoe wasn't terrible this game

I don’t see why Indiana does that.

I only got to watch the majority of the 4th quarter and he was absolutely terrible.

How was he not terrible?

Well I watched the 4th and he sucked. The box score makes it look like he sucked the other part of the game I missed also.

He went 4-12 from the field, 3-5 from ft, and had 4 turn overs.

Are we trading then literally every single pick we possibly can?

Morant will most def be a superstar

That’s not even arguable

Nuggets and Mavericks are the 2 teams most likely to win a ring in the near future imo...

Nuggets cause Jokic and a nice collective team.
Mavericks cause Doncic and underrated players.

You put Doncic at Pels instead of Zion, The Pels would be probably top 5 seed.

It’s arguable. He’s a horrid defender, minus shooter, and he’s injury prone. He’s a very nice player but it would surprise me if he made more than 3-4 all star teams in his career.

I think Morant could be a star. However, there is a stark difference between being a star and a superstar.

Superstars are players like Lebron, Luka, Jokic, Kawhi, Durant, Harden, Giannis, Dame

It’s early on in Ja’s career, but he isn’t close to that level yet and it’s no guarantee he will be unless he fixes some things. Ja is not even currently the best player on Memphis. When I was watching the game tonight. I was not worried about Ja beating us. I was worried about Jonas beating us, which he ultimately did.

Looks like I'm reading Zion's flaws too...

Even if Zion has improved in defense, it remains below average nba.
I discussed this with someone and apparently Zion was already bad on the defensive side in ncaa, relying exclusively on his athleticism to defend with monstrous blocks

Zion ain't a shooter like we all know (yet) and he's also injury prone.

no shot
did not improve at all with his jumpshot, lack of it completely
small frame who's been getting injured now
defensively is absolutely shite

guys like booker/young are better and potential superstars because they have a decent shot while being able to get to the rim, but booker/young have bigger builds to them as well. defensively morant is FAR behind the other two and they're not even plus defenders.

the difference is that offensively, zion is far superior in efficiency and points per possession. He also has shown growth between year 1 and 2, Ja has not shown anything at all.

Zion's issues will become his legs, which seem okay thus far. Hand/arm injuries are freak most of the time (look at jaylen brown).

Defensively neither will end up being all-defensive team; but zion has potential to be average sooner. Ja reminds me too much of early Rose (without as much athleticism), never a positive defender but he'll become a 25/5/8 guy at most. Maybe that is superstar, but I honestly don't see it considering how much further Trae Young is and he's not even there yet.
