Pels vs Clippers: Game Thread

Game is at 3:00. Pelicans are favored by 1.5 but I’m cautiously optimistic by that spread. It’s going to take a monster game by AD and one of (probably both) Jrue or Moore to really get it done.
I am curious to see who will increase their scoring output the most since Boogie is out now because we’re still going to score close to our average. That being said:

I think this becomes a different team. It has to. They can't outscore people anymore. They have to become a top ten defense like they were last year. The game, if they are to win it, will have to be in the high 90s, low 100s

This game feels too soon, my nuts still feel freshly kicked. Mostly just interested in how Ad reacts.
It's gotta be sad to see your friend go down who is also your teammate, who is also an all-star, who was a big part of the ceiling discussion on these playoffs, who is also the reason you are not ever playing center, and to top it all off, now you're going to be playing ridiculous minutes because there isn't anyone else to play them and most people already thought you were playing ridiculous minutes. Oh and that injury? Probably had at least a little to do with cousins' minutes.
Let's see what kind of pro this kid is, bc that is a major mind frick if nothing else.

He is exhausted. His legs don't have the juice right now that they had a month ago. If you notice, his outside shot is erratic and he is really only scoring around the rim.
To expect him to continue this is unrealistic IMO. They need to get him some help so he doesn't kill himself by March

I think we see Jrue jump up to around 24 and AD around 31. I’m also glad that Darius is coming off one of his best games, because I think we’ll rely on him to jack it up more. We only have so many guys that can score, and we should see them go beast mode until the inevitable trades that bring us some help.

I still feel like the team hasn't caught their breath from the Chicago game. The looks on all their faces towards the end of that game; and the sad part is they were at 50 minutes, bc of stupid arse mistakes like fouling justin holiday.
ETA: As I look at DC's minutes, he was poised to play back to back 30 minute games; for the first time in forever. However it is directly preceded by 52 fkn minutes against Chicago. Wish the team didn't take half the season to figure out a decent rotation that doesn't have your big playing 40 minutes every night.

Can we go 15-19 over the last 34? Seems realistic. Would put us at 42-40 to end the year.
