1) everyone is at least gonna call the Cavs and see what in the hell is going on up there and see what they're looking for
2) you pretty much have to call and just throw something at them just to say you did And you never know what could come from it, even if it's not kyrie. Maybe you become a partner in a 3-4 team trade and off load some salary
3) shoot your shot demps, shoot your shot.

There's no way this happens unless DC is involved. Even then, I don't know if we could get it done.

I want to see it too, but we have no scorers in our back court. We aren't going to challenge anyone if we don't have a ball handler that can score, unless AD turns into one of the 20 greatest player to ever play.
Kyrie would take us much further than Cousins would, given our current lineup. That would mean Rondo would be rather worthless, assuming Cousins is who goes out, but so what. I love the Rondo signing and i think he's exactly what AD/Cousins needs, but if you're telling me i can get Kyrie instead of Cousins, then i'll take that every day.
Now ideally if we could trade Jrue for Kyrie, that would be awesome. Turn Kyrie into pretty much the SG, which is pretty much what he is now with PG Lebron, we'd be sitting pretty, at least on offense. Kyrie isn't a great defender by any means, but he isn't terrible.

Agree with the comment in the article that says it's more likely Dell called to say we could help facilitate a multi-team deal. I'm sure he's called pretty much every team in the league to say that

100% of the teams in the league call because they want to know the asking price so they can notate it. See what was the asking price vs what actually happens.

Or if they can facilitate.

i can't imagine this trade not involving Jrue Holiday... hypothetically speaking... even if it had to wait till Dec. 15th. I mean Cavs has to get some type of player back...

Amico just printed a list of teams that had been involved in big name trade discussions over the offseason. What a hot scoop.

Of course Dell called. For all his faults, the ability to pick up the phone and ask is not one of them (see: Cousins trade).

I wouldn't even trade Cousins for Kyrie straight up.

Me neither. Finding a player like Boogie is much harder than finding one like Kyrie. I like what could be our core 4, and Solo seems like a very good 6th man. We just need a 3, every year it seems, to be very very scary. Surely some 3 out there sees this and this point could be sold to a solid vet for the min

lol well hey I'm with you if Dell keeps on knocking someone will eventually answer. I'm glad he's at least got no shame to pick up the phone.

I put my money that he called to dump Asik. But at the same time he had to have inquired what they want in exchange. I highly doubt Dell would include Jrue,or Boogie in a trade (to which I'm almost certain Cleveland would hang up the phone immediately). I'd take Boogie over Kyrie any day as I said in the other thread. Then Idk how that would look to other players to trade Jrue after you say all summer how he's youre #1 priority and is a huge part of your future. However, trading Jrue to Cleveland and pairing him with Derrick Rose & JR Smith could at least keep Cleveland in contention for a title next year. They wouldnt be as good obviously but they wouldnt drop past the 3rd or 4th seed

I think a realistic offier (that would surely be shot down) is Jackson, Diallo, Cook, Moore, Asik, and 2 picks for Kyrie and Taveras

Jrue cannot be traded for several months, so he would not even be part of the equation.

December 15th is when newly signed FAs can be traded by teams.
