I can’t believe Batum is only 32. Dude is beyond washed. I thought he was like 39.

You don’t think they would take Ball if we send them Lonzo as well, and take back Graham?

Yes, you get the best value. Even if it meant trading Jrue to a rival. West v East doesn’t mean jack

I’d say it’s a bonus trading him to a team in the Lakers division. The more losses and competition they have the next few years, the better our picks from them.

It does seem like he’s been around forever

Pick 3 and no long term salary is a pretty solid return for Jrue, IMO.

Would this be a palatable trade for all parties?

Pels get Porter, Looney, 4, and 2021 Wolves 1st

Bulls get Wiggins, 2

Warriors get Jrue

I feel like the Minnesota pick wouldn’t be included.

Would you do it without it?

I'm also trying to figure out how we can facilitate in the CP3-Suns talks...I still want to offload Lonzo...

Maybe something like...

CP3 and Denver 1st to Suns

Rubio and Suns 2022 1st to Pels

Zo, Oubre, Miller, and 10 to OKC?

I feel like we are giving up too much and not getting too much in return but I love the idea of Rubio

Would draft Haliburton at 4 and Nesmith at 13 and trade picks to move up to take Bolmaro and stash and take Tillman in the 2nd

Would try to get Millsap on MLE and bring back Moore on the Darius Miller contract

Rubio / NAW / Haliburton
Ingram / JJ / Moore
Porter / Hart / Nesmith
Zion / Millsap / Melli
Looney / Hayes / Tillman

That might be a winner.

K Hayes, OP Jr & Looney + #13 (plus 21 high 1st) for Jrue

I'm leaning Haliburton over K Hayes but yeah that's the idea

If Brooklyn would give up Dinwiddie, Levert and Allen in a Jrue trade, wouldn’t the Pels want to keep at least Dinwiddie and Allen? If not all three?

From there seems like you could maybe pair up Lonzo and Levert to make a deal for another solid piece.

In my perfect world KD and Kyrie demand a Jrue trade so forcefully that Brooklyn also throws in 16 to the Pels. If that happens you find out of NYK wants a Ball brother badly enough to do Lonzo, Levert and 16 for Mitchell Robinson and the 8th pick.

You’re only moving forward with Allen if you plan on moving him or Jaxson Hayes.

They can keep him for a year exercise his option And trade him in the offseason. They have options.

I don't see us sending out Jrue and Lonzo. That would be alot of turnover in one offseason

We could wrap in a 4 team trade with Atlanta, with framework like:

Suns: CP3, John Collins

Thunder: Huerter, NAW, #13

Hawks: Jrue, #10

Pels: Rubio, Cam Johnson, #6, #25

Hawks won't have to pay Collins, they only move back 4 spots in the draft and pick up Jrue.

OKC gets 2 young pieces and move up in the draft.

Suns get 2 win now pieces, Collins fitting that better than Cam Johnson.

Pels get Rubio to mentor Ball and Killian Hayes (pick at 6), bring in Cam Johnson to play the 3/4 backup role for us.

I'm not doing that.
Jrue with an extension is worth more than just #3.

Is there some can't miss guy at #3? No
what's the difference between #3 and #6? Would you do a trade with Chicago for Jrue and get basically nothing back but #6?

The Cavs gave up the #1 pick when it was a sure bet who was going #1 in Wiggins, as well as the previous years #1 pick in Bennett, granted he sucked, but he was still only 1 year into his nba career. Not only that, they got Thad Young in that deal as well from Philly, a 25 year old who had just come off a 18ppg season, and Cleveland gave up a 2015 1st from Miami so Thad could go there.
So Cleveland gave up #1 from 2014, #1 from 2013, and future 2016 1st which ended up being #24 (it was a 2015 top 10 protected 1st, but Maimi finished with the 10th pick, so it went to 2016), just to get Kevin Love, and you think Jrue is worth #3 alone?
I know Kevin Love was an allstar at that time and playing great, but Jrue isnt' some scrub. 20ppg guys that play top 5 defense in the league don't grow on trees.

Wish we could get J Issac from Orlando in the Zo or Jrue trades.

There is definitely a huge gap on how people think that Holiday is valued around the league. I think you have a great point. But someone is only worth what you can get for him. Its not always fair.

The only thing I think you are overvaluing is that teams would put extra value on Holiday due to his defensive abilities. I don't think that will move the needle much at all. Its a plus, but that is about all..

We have no idea what other teams think Jrue's worth is. All we hear is idiot national guys tell us what they think his worth is.

But i agree, he's only worth what someone is willing to pay for him.

I disagree. He's not Andre Roberson or Bruce Bowen. He's a 20ppg guy that has shown many times in the past he can take over a game offensively. Having a guy that you know can take score on his own, and sometimes take over games offensively, all the while playing all-nba defense on the opposing teams best player isn't just a plus. When you allow KD or Klay to not have to take on that defensive assignment and focus more energy on offense, that's a huge plus.

Jrue has routinely been at the top of the list the last few years on drives per game, yet he gets no where near the FTA that the other guys atop that list get. Send him to Brooklyn or GSW and he'd double his FTA just b/c refs are big city bias.
Brandon Ingram in LAL got fouled on 10.3% of this drives in 2019. That dropped to 8.8% this year in NO.
Anthony Davis was fouled on 11.7% and 13.9% his drives the last 2 years in NO. Jumped up to 17.3% in LAL this year.
