kenrich- not sure why we wouldnt even try him in the bubble. hoping we are able to keep him on a team-friendly deal. he at least knows how to play defense and is a solid offensive rebounder

Agreed with pretty much everything except for this. Dude is an awful player. He's the #1 guy I' be okay with not resigning.

He started the season great, I believe his back injury was nagging him longer than the amount of time he was held out..

He's a great rebounder, and a hustler on defense. We would have trouble finding someone better at a minimum contract to be one of our 12th-15th guys.

I would keep Ingram and KW for sure. I would maybe want to keep Okafor if it was like a minimum deal. Everyone else I would let walk.

He is pretty good on the defensive side of the ball. I can't think of anything Frank Jackson has done well this season.

I'd easily keep Williams over Frank if that was a decision to be made, which I don't see why it would be 1 or the other but you get the point.

Keep Ingram, KW, Cheatham. Keep Favors for the right price -- hard to judge market and NBA cap from Covid fallout.

I hope we have seen the last of Frank in a Pel uniform.

Hire Atkinson. Brett Brown would probably be my second option because I felt Philly played beautiful basketball before Brand went and screwed up their roster with a bunch of pieces that don't fit together

Players I like as fits in this draft: Devin Vassell, Patrick Williams, Kira Lewis, Desmond Bane

Needs in no order: (1) cheap center who can offer rim protection for a few minutes a game. (2) another 3/4 defender (3) shooters and people who can make plays without the ball in their hands whether its through hustle plays or perimeter or rim gravity

I think PHX has a shot at making the playoffs. Spurs had a decent shot too with the way they were playing, but losing Derrick White was quite a blow.

For #13 (or #12) I’d like to see them swing for the fences. We’ve seen Lavine, Booker, and Mitchell all drafted at 13 in recent past.

I’d be happy with Poku, Vassell, Lewis, Jalen Smith, Or Nesmith.

Poku is a very interesting option. Wouldn't mind that swing at all.

Are yall referring to Aleksej Pokusevski?

I'd be on board at 13. But everyone has to know he is going to take a few years to develop.

He's 7'0" and 195 pounds, and plays in basically a rec league, where he is infinitely more talented than everyone else.

I would not be surprised if he's drafted in the 1st round but is still a draft and stash, where he goes to a higher Euro league for 2 years.

He’d be stashed overseas to develop. Drafting Poku would be a long term plan, but we already have to develop Zion/NAW/Jax since they got limited development this season. Didi is also likely coming over next season.

He may just end up another Dragan Bender who can’t develop his body enough to play in the frontcourt or he could be an incredibly interesting player to pair with Zion when he develops.

Another prospect in a similar vein is Tyrell Terry. His shot is absurd, but can we hide him on defense? I don’t think he’ll ever develop his body enough to be a competent defender.

I've seen a lot of people sat that shooting for the stars with upside is the way to go with the draft.

#1 Fire Gentry
#2 Don't hire Lue or Kidd
#3 Draft best player available regardless of position with pick #13. Do not trade those two early 2nd round picks, make both picks, hope that one ends up decent.
#4 Trade Lonzo, hopefully for a future first and/or a PG/C
#5 Sign BI to max
#6 Offer extension to Hart
#7 Do not bring any of these guys back:
Frank Jackson- RFA
Kenrich Williams- RFA
Josh Gray- RFA
Zylan Cheatham- RFA

Derrick Favors- UFA
E'Twaun Moore- UFA
Jahlil Okafor- UFA
#8 sign FA at PG or C, whichever one you didn't get in the Lonzo trade. Would be nice if we could sign both DJ Augustin and Myers Leonard. I need to see who's available out there and what we have as our core coming back, but Myers Leonard is definitely a guy i'd like to target.
#9 Do not trade JJ
#10 Bring Didi over in the league

I think that is pretty much dead on. Although, I think its critcal we add a wing with size, that can shot. So hopefully they target that in the lottery. I like Nesmith, but I don't know if he will be there. Maybe use Ball to move up to make sure we get the player we want..

I would not trade Ball to move up a few spots. It's just not worth it. the 9th pick is rarely that much better than the 13th pick. Having good scouts makes up for it. the cost is not worth the risk to move up like that in the NBA draft.

There's a bevy of SF's that will be available around where we pick (Vassell/Okoro/Nesmith/Bey)
. Do your homework and pick the right one. Take a chance on a PG in the 2nd round, someone similar to a Van Vleet or Brogdon, experienced college guy. Grant Riller from C of Charleston fits that bill, same as Cassius Winston. It's very unlikely either becomes a good NBA player, but i'd much rather draft someone with that resume in the 2nd round than a Fr/So that wasn't good enough to be a lottery pick.

I’m really hoping for Killian Hayes, I think he’ll be an excellent player but I don’t think he falls to 13.

The NBA plans to hold the Aug. 20 Draft Lottery virtually, with 14 team representatives appearing via virtual display

Will the 3rd party auditing still be on site monitoring the lottery? I'm sure the league would love for the Knicks to become relevant again.

There’s potential for a big shakeup this offseason. Between a potential Zo or Holiday trade, and all of our guys heading to FA, we could be looking at a different team next season

All you had to do was look at how many short term deals Griffin filled this team with last year to know this was year 1 in a multi-year rebuild project.

I think now they know what they have in Zion and BI and can plan accordingly.
