Dyson is going to be very good. A lot of those misses will fall on a normal day. His defense is spectacular

I like Dyson, his defense is ready right now.
I think his shot will be fine, and love the floater. Love his confidence.
Really needs to work on slowing down and stop trying to attempt layups at a high speed going away from the rim. He’s not really getting to the rim. He’s getting near it then flying past it. It’s like he’s taking fade away layups.
He definitely doesn’t have a problem getting in the lane, or stopping his guy from getting in the lane and that’s why he’ll play and so well.

Game will slow down for him at some point and he’ll end up better timing and patience. Looks like he was going to quick with a lot of his shots tonight.

What I saw in Dyson tonight, I liked. I think you are right, the game will come to him. Im interested in where Kira is in his progression. It will be nice to see BI and Trey in with these guys.

Once Naji fouled out, I knew we were going to win

Can’t wait to see what the core group is like with BI and Trey as 6th man… we were so dominating with so many weapons for long periods.
Great intensity going forward and on D …very exciting season ahead

Soooo, we have the team last night, and replace Naji Marshall and Garrett Temple with Brandon Ingram and Treye Murphy? Good lord, RIP league

Yeah, I don't mind the minutes that Naji and GT got last night, because BI and TM3 are our two normal SFs in the rotation, and we didn't want to overwork our starters. In a real game, Naji and GT wouldn't have gotten those minutes, but I think Willie Green wanted to keep most of our guys in their natural roles.

God bless primary ballhandlers that have to deal with Herb, then Jose, then Dyson, if they somehow manage to get the first two in foul trouble.

Daniels doesnt turn 20 until after the season and he was able to get to the rim with relative ease last night as well as being a menace on defense. He’ll improve his shot, I have no doubt about that.

hate to break it to you but some guys never learn.
example: all American Coleman of Syracuse. taken #3 overall by gsw which they got by dumping Mitch Richmond.
coleman never grasped that shooting on the move makes every shot different, the opposite of a predictable shot form. he became good not great. he didn't figure out how to get into best shooting form off the dribble.
the other common issue guys have is a too flat mid to long shot. they never rework for a higher arc.
care to say why you re so sure DD becomes a shooter?

For me, it's because we have one of the best developers in Vinson. I don't know if his jumper will ever be what we hope, but I at least would like for him to finish better around the rim and utilize that floater. Thankfully, this year, we don't need him to be lights out as a shooter. He won't have to feel like he needs to force the shot this year but instead work on his defense, facilitating, and rim game.

Two words: Fred Vinson.
