Prime you sound like a whiny little bitch. These are professional athletes and you're throwing the tired excuse out. Stfu and take the loss like a man we were the better team tonight.

Luke babbit and Austin rivers..

this bears repeating, again
despite the away/home back to back for houston, on paper their 5 is better than last night's pels' 5. it was a schedule win for the pels only at full strength...they earned the W shorthanded

AD was GREAT! Harden was not. Howard probably should not have even played (I'm on record with that in the prediction thread).

Every team in the league plays B2B's, and we had 3-4 days off prior to the Denver trip, so I'm not pulling that excuse. You beat us. Hustled more, made better shots, and the threat of AD in the paint is LEGIT! Anderson looked as good as I've seen him this year, and Cunningham gives you an "edge" off the bench that was missing a month ago.

Congrats on a solid road win VS a western conference foe. Just think...we have 3 more of these!

I'll take my medicine now.

No doubt that the Rockets were tired. That's legit. But the Pels were missing their starting SG and starting SF. I'd take a tired, healthy Pels team over a well rested team with 3 out of their 5 starters.
And the Rockets were missing their starting PF and 6th man...

Get out to a hot start while battling injuries - what great resolve that team showed, great team ball, harden mvp yada yada yda

Lose to Pels - oh no, B2B games, we're tired, injuries, yada yada yada

Ill give them lee-way on the tired thing but teams play back-to-backs all the time so I won't give too much grace
And teams usually suck on back to backs. And it makes it worse when the first game was a hard-fought overtime game. And that game being out west and starting at 10:30 and not finishing until past midnight and getting back home at 4 in the morning certainly didn't help.

Deep down, you guys know it was a factor even if you won't admit it.

I'm not complaining about injuries. I'm just showing that I can make that argument too. I was responding to the Pelicans poster who brought up how y'all were missing your SG and SF.

to most rockets fans on here the B2B and all the other stuff didn't matter they were still going to beat us, now that we won all of sudden it matters greatly. to be fair one or two were worried.

and yes the overtime game the night prior likely had an impact on the game. I still believe however the pels would've won anyway if not for the B2B

No I don't think the Pelicans are a bad team. I said in the prediction thread that I was expecting a tight game.

I don't think anyone (except boom) can honestly say the pels are a bad team. they aren't a great team but having a >.500 record with the I think 3rd hardest SOS, or close to it, is not the mark of a bad team

Fun Bunch:

quote:

Tyreke Evans is questionable for tonight. Pels would have a hard time winning with him, without him they are in bad shape. Pels are also a much much better home team than road team. Houston should win this one pretty comfortably.

PrimeTime Money:

quote:

I don't know about that. Houston is playing the second game of a back-to-back after an overtime game last night where the starters played a lot of minutes. Plus, even though the Rockets have won most of the games they've played against the Pelicans recently, they were generally close games because the Pelicans match-up well with the Rockets. I still think the Rockets will win, but it's going to be a tough game.

So no, I'm not all of a sudden making excuses after predicting the Rockets would destroy them.

I'm just saying that the fatigue was very evident.

And your prediction was wrong. It wasn't tight. We won by 9.
