Denver Nuggets All-Star forward Paul Millsap will undergo surgery on his left wrist and will be sidelined two to three months, league sources told The Vertical.
Millsap suffered the injury in the Nuggets’ road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. Initial X-rays returned clean, but Millsap had further tests over the past two days that confirmed the need for surgery, league sources said.

No structural damage in left knee with sprained MCL for Clippers All-Star Blake Griffin, league source tells ESPN. Recovery could take two months, source says.

As Griffin and Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball grappled for possession of the ball in the paint, Clippers guard Austin Rivers fell into Griffin’s left leg, causing it to twist awkwardly.

Clippers are done. Denver has still managed to beat some bad teams though so they are trying to hang around.

They need Asik?

Pels need to get on a win streak and start putting some distance between the teams battling with injuries.

Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap's surgery will be to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist and could sideline him for three months, league sources tell ESPN.

Brutal. Clips, grizz, nuggets, jazz all hurting. Pelicans big winners by default so far.

He’s got great hands and could definitely play the 3 or 4.

Pels are the benefit of injuries...who woulda thunk it!!!
Oh and a preemptive "stop it" to the guy who brings up Rondo compared to the injuries of those other teams.

I think the Hill injury is hurting us more than what we realize.
Should I still "stop it" haha

God I don't want to start hearing stuff like that.
Not that it is a rational response, but man does that talk only make me on edge. This isn't exactly a team or star that is known for being iron men.

TBH Zach Lowe should have mentioned Pels as well.
They have lost two starters for a long time (one has just returned) and backup bigs...
till the end of December they play
at home - SAS, MIN, GSW, DEN,SAC, PHI, MIL,BRK,DAL,NYK
away - PHX, GSW, UTA, PTB, HOU, DEN, WAS, ORL, MIA
SOME HARD GAMES, BUT ALSO MANY WINNABLE

7-8 seed wrapped up?
re: Paul Millsap out 2-3 months, Now Blake Griffin out 2 monthsPosted by TigerinATL on 11/28/17 at 2:33 pm to whatiknowsofar
Utah and Denver are managing to hold on after big injuries and most people expect OKC to figure it out, so there's still one team too many for the playoff race even if the Clippers and Memphis are done. Pels need to stay healthy and keep winning.

Clippers are probably done for the season. If not seriously considering trading Jordan and blowing it up. Milos, Beverly, Galo, and Griffin out. They basically look like the Pelicans from years past right now.
It does seem like barring a major leap by a struggling team, the Pelicans should be able to get at least an 8 seed.
OKC is the only team I think is a sleeping playoff team that isn't currently in the top 8. And I think Utah is probably not one.

It's nice that it appears that it's 3 teams for two spots, rather than 6 teams for 3 spots like it looked like before the season started.

NBA/ESPN is salivating over a GSW/OKC matchup in round 1 of the playoffs
We need our marketing team trying to convince them every day how great a HOU/NOP would be, and hope the refs stop calling fouls on us altogether

I never seriously considered the Clippers a playoff contender. Relying on Gallinari and Griffin to stay healthy is just not a realistic plan. There was a high likelihood Blake missed time this year and the team would not have the talent to overcome it. This is obvioulsy exacerbated by the other injuries too.
I saw our competitors for the playoffs as MIN, POR, DEN, OKC, MEM and to a lesser extent UTA. UTA is similar to the Clippers in that they do not realy have the talent to overcome injuries anymore. They are well coached and have a good system, but I think they are on the outside looking in. With the Grizz looking like they may finally fall off a cliff with an 8 game losing streak, the Pels are looking good.
So good in fact that I think they should hold onto that 1st for the foreseeable future.

Unless you can pair it with asik or ajinca and net yourself a contributor like Jae crowder, I agree.

If you can get a starting caliber wing on a reasonable multiyear deal and dump Asik, then sure. But of the more realistic scenarios where we use it to dump Asik and add an expiring, I prefer to hold.

Cleveland isnt' trading away anyone this year, at least not anyone that can help the win. They know this is probalby their last year to have a shot at a championship. They aren't shedding contracts yet for picks.
A target we should be all over is Lou Williams.
Orlando has fallen apart, and Charlotte might fall apart soon as well. Those are two teams with guys we could use that they would be willing to give up once they are out of the playoff picture.
