Isn't OJ Mayo just like having another MT5?

I would rather get Gasol and Verajao in the trade.

You'd rather Varajeo over OJ Mayo?

Are you high?

The Hornets are not going to trade CP3 to the Lakers unless they want to give us Gasol. That is like making the conference favorite and one of your best direct competitors even better.

I think Mayo is the better overall player, but he would be more of a redundancy as far a building the team. Is he not similar a very similar player to Thornton? I thought the problem is people are concerned with our backcourt size.

Verejao on the otherhand would be a great big body off the bench behind Gasol.

That's because you're making the incorrect assumption that we have any pricing power here.

I would agree. We have a great deal of power right now with him under contract for atleast 2 full seasons.

He's bigger than Thornton and a better all around player

And if Mayo, who would start, is redundant. How is Varajeo not?

Yes I have. Have you ever not been a dick on this board yet? You are probably that way online because IRL you would get punked.

They are basically the same size. Mayo is about a 1/2 inch taller and 5 pounds heavier. I guess I just see Thornton being capable of doing similar things as Mayo. I will admit that is a very optimistic outlook.

As far as Verejao he would be addition that helps you match up with the top teams. It is a huge advantage to have a great big man rotation. This is obviously hypothetical.

West(6'9), Brackins(6'10), Verejao(6'11), Gasol(7'1), Gray(7'0)

That looks to be a extremely good front line. West and Brackins are both scoring PFs.

Verejao is a guy who can play PF or C. He is a great defender with size and plays team ball.

Gasol is a young big man who could be on the way to being one of the best centers in the league.

Gray is a project C who can come in a eat up space when needed.

We then use Peja to bring in maybe another SF. We then use the cap space to re-sign MT5 and extend Gasol. Use our draft picks to look for another SG for the rotation.

That would be a great start.

PG- Collison
SG- Thornton
SF- Pondexter
PF- West, Brackins, Verejao
C- Gasol, Verejao, Gray

Holy shite. Hollinger answered my question lol.

Will (New Orleans)

What jersey will CP3 be wearing on opening day?

John hollinger (3:03 PM)

I still say Hornets. Paul still has two years left on his deal, which means he can bristle all he wants but he really has very little leverage. If you'll recall we had a similar situation two summers ago with a fellow named Kobe; that one worked out OK for the Lakers if I remember correctly.

You should have asked Hollinger how much Chris Broussard has to swallow to be LeBron's puppet

How about this deal?

LINK

We send out CP3, Posey, Okafor, JuJu, and Peja for VC, Bass, Gortat, Nelson, and Pietrus.

It's not the best deal out there, but we get passable big men with long-term contracts back as a stop-gap solution, we get an expiring deal in VC who doesn't have the injury history of Peja, it gets four pieces of dead weight in Posey, Okafor, Juju, and Peja off our books, and nets an immediate roster savings of $10 million.

I don't particular want him, but Orlando would insist on pawning him off on whomever they do a trade with.

My compromise on taking him in the trade machine was making them take Posey's worthless arse.

I don't see why not. He averaged 12 and 5 last year.

And he's the 27th best PG in the league PER wise.

Gem!

Had a dream last night....

Hornets get: Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph and an unprotected first in 2013

Knicks get: Cp3, Emeka, Posey and Juju

Upon waking up i was quite happy until i realized it was a dream
