What a hellhole. These people almost universally agree that they can offer less now, possibly just the #4 and one of either Lonzo or Ingram.
That's stupid, it would have to be Ingram, Ball, and 4th. I don't necessarily care that much about them including Kuzma or Hart.

Kyler kinda backtracks on his comments last week

No idea — I was told there was interest from more than half the league not just the Lakers/Nets-Knicks and Celtics — so I have no idea who wins out with New Orleans

That looks like it deserves its own thread. :)

RealGM isn’t much better.
They are convinced that they are the one with all the cards, too, because they think the Celtics will drop out and that the Knicks’ offer isn’t as good as theirs.
They are also pissing and moaning about the “Laker Tax” on trades, where people try to stick it to them, without admitting that it is their own fricking fault through repeatedly lowballing small market teams under the threat of “we’ll just sign them as a FA if you don’t take this shitty offer.”

Interest would be there from most teams.
Assets? That is another matter.

RealGM is OK for other resources besides its forums

The general board isn’t horrible.
Not gonna touch on the trades and transactions one, though.

Laker fans substantially overrate their prospects based upon draft position and stat padding in failed seasons. They were never in this, and still aren't.

This is true. Also true of you Celtics fans.

we had our chance at the deadline....
now to show us who’s boss, they will give us less and we are going to take it and like it....

I'm not he biggest Lakers trade fan but they wouldn't have the 4th pick to trade if they traded at the deadline

Not at all. At least not most of us. 15-20 years of Belichick and Ainge has us decidedly unsentimental about slobs. Some of you might be new at this, but we ain't. Tatum, Smart, and picks is a fricking godsend for you guys considering that AD is demanding out with a year left on his deal with and trying to steer himself to the Lakers.
There is a very big part of me that hopes we pull out and that know-nothings like you get educated on this in short order.

If Ainge trades for AD he has to have a series of other moves in mind, regardless of what Kyrie does. That’s why I don’t think he’ll give the Pels everything, in case he needs to make other moves.

I don't think you are wrong. Not elaborating rn tho. Apologies.

I think Ainge has had his eyes and mind set on AD for too long now. He knows he has the best assets to acquire him and he also knows that trading for AD is his ONLY hope of convincing Kyrie to re-sign with them. I still expect to be offered Tatum/Smart/#14/Memphis pick. And we will take it and party hard. For those people saying they wont include Tatum, I think you're underestimatimg the balls on Ainge. He knows that they're not even in the conversation without offering up Tatum, and these reports say that Boston is still in and wanting to work out a trade. It's just a matter of time.

Mac reporting on the twitter that the Knicks are calling around the league for options to swap some young players and maybe a pick for something the pels like better. I still think that along with #3 they have a strong case for the trade table in that Davis is likely to re sign there. But I agree that their current offer is too much youth unless the pels have interest in a rebuild around zion, #3 and Mitchell/Knox
in which case you have to trade jrue
griffin said from the beginning he wants a budding star, good potential young players and picks. There’s a gap at the top of the current Knicks package
and surely he’s telling the Knicks who he’d like to see them try to get first

Wouldn’t be surprised if we did give them a shopping list.
Supposedly Dell and Ferry gave Magic a shopping list of potential talents like Beal and Jokic we were interested in and said “Find me someone like this.”

right but in this case it would be lower tier guys like maybe saric or similar.
a guy like that plus #3 plus Mitchell and the first DAL pick would be interesting
