#Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry says Elfrid Payton remains questionable but leaning towards not playing against Toronto. He says Nikola Mirotic is probable to play tonight but it will depend on how he feels after shootaround.

Eh, if it's a question, please dont play him

I'm still dumbfounded why they played AD against gsw. It would seem like a blessing to have a reason to not play ad in that game and they got it, and still played him, dispelling any illusion the team could have brought out of that game with them.

Someone correct me please if i'm wrong, but high ankle sprains are a motherfricker and can be an issue for the entire season if you don't let it heal.

Yeah, I was hoping he'd be back to help defend Lowry. How Pels vs. Raptors normally goes is the Pels look decent until the end when Jrue can only guard one of their top wings which usually leaves Lowry free to make enough plays to pull out a win. Maybe Wes Johnson can slow down Kawhi so Jrue can lock up Lowry?

Those usually are the 4-6 week sprains IIRC, this was supposed to be a 2 week variety. But considering how vital Payton looks to the team you definitely don't want to rush him back and have him reinjure it.

elfrid payton's hidden contribution is his rebounding. if the pels dont rebound against the raptors they are going to lose

H A S is a tough injury to overcome. It takes time. No shortcuts.

We need to go get Tyreke and give Elf a blood transfusion.
