NBA Team Stats and how the Pels rank

NBA Team Stats
I know it’s a moot point now considering how this season went down, but the Pels rank really well in a lot of categories. I know this is cherry picking, but it’s just to show our strong points thus far.
PPG- ties for 3rd
Rebound per game- 4th
Assists per game- 4th
Field goal %- ties for 4th
Points per game in the paint- 1st
In our wins, we rank 2nd in the league in offensive rating.
We were good enough this year to at least be an 8th seed IMO. If I gave you these numbers at the beginning of the year, would you think we would be tanking and trading AD?

Offense is not the problem for the pels
It's defense which has been very bad when AD has played
Due to probably obvious reason the defense is much improved(I think near top 10) when the hustle squad is out there

And we were 28th in clutch wins. We lost a lot of close games

Curious if Kendrick Williams getting minutes earlier has us in a better spot.
Lots of those close games. Shitty play by miller/hill crushed us.

He's a massive improvement on those guys defensively and competent offensively but he's still green
Pels being terrible in the clutch as opposed to the greatness of last year is another huge thing
Even average clutch and more competent wing play has them fighting the Kings/Clippers for the last 2 spots imo

Think of the close games we were in, in the fourth quarter this year. With AD in the games in crunch time and he disappeared. I can think of at least four games where I thought: What is up with AD? No hustle, no points.
How long has AD really wanted out of New Orleans? Just my opinion, but I believe AD lost interest or was coerced, or just decided through influence after the first 8 games that he wasn't sure he wanted to be all in with Pelicans. And his effort showed it.

Yep. I made many a points in many threads about AD's shittiness in closing games out. I cited specific stats for many games to show it as well. It was uncharacteristic of him as well. last 3 or 4 years i'm pretty sure AD has been one of the better clutch players in the league. This year he was ranking around 100. Anyone who watched the games saw it. He'd literally touch the ball once in the final 3-4 minutes of games.
The bullshite excuse that the GSW game was when he knew it was time to demand a trade is BS. His effort all year says otherwise. he made his decision in the offseason when he signed with that arse hat agent.
I said it in the offseason and most people called me a moron, but I said if we don't do well this year, the main reason will be b/c of AD's play. He had more than enough pieces around him to be a 50 win team this year. He is the reason we are not. Best player in the world my arse.

I wish we could just sit him. But I’m ok with no back to backs and 20 min a game with no closing. This summer can’t get here fast enough.

Injuries to starters killed the season. Pels were just fine until Davis, Payton and mirotic went down.

He was done when Boogie and Rondo were out and he put the offer on that House for 7.5 million in LA on July 1st. Then signing with Rich Paul. Just Sealed It. Hes been undermining the pels since his, I'm the greatest of all time comment. We took away his "Kentucky NBA team" chances and has been a pain ever since then. The summer can't get here soon enough. Any where but here.
