Grade 2 will be closer to 5 weeks for most players. Maybe longer.

Nah, that will be us when the Lakers complete their implosion and miss the playoffs, then win the lottery and their pick comes to us

Hawks finishing a loss the way I was hoping we would with Phoenix(if it had to be a loss).

Went blow for blow against Kyrie/KD and the Nets in Brooklyn, and basically had them in their sights in the end, arguably got screwed by the refs a bit, but fought like hell and made it a game.

I think Atlanta is going to be the surprise team this year. They are balanced and their young guys look good. They have depth and Trae somehow is getting MJ/LBJ/Harden type calls already lol

As a Canadian I’ve noticed that in terms of international players we have taken the lead in terms of massive busts, it’s actually really sad folks. The hits keep coming

1. Anthony Bennett (Yikes)

2. Andrew Wiggins

3. RJ Barrett (Pelicans dodged this bullet)

re: N/P Random League Observations/Commentary
Let’s hope NAW doesn’t follow that trend...

Watching the Cavs game, 2 thoughts, one negative one hopeful:

1.) Garland is looking pretty good right now. Imagine him with his dual ability to shoot off ball and run a half court offense with Lonzo and I think you have a really good back court...unfortunate the route we went

2.) Sexton has really turned it around. Which has me hopeful for Kira. Since a lot of observers tried to argue Alabama was a system team(and I guess they do look for a type of guard to fit into their schemes), and Sexton just wasn’t gonna translate, and that was a knock on Kira as well, but he looks DAMN good....and I’d argue I actually like Kira as a better prospect coming out, so if Kira can be Sexton or better, yeah, I’ll take that any day.

It's a lot like the 2011-12 lockout year.

Yeah, the Wizards are 0-5, despite playing four of their five games so far at home. And Westbrook has had triple-doubles in all four games that he's played. Their loss to the Bulls last night was with the Bulls missing Markkanan and four other players. So, that pick is looking like it could be pick #31.

It's also fun to speculate on when Bradley Beal decides that he's had enough of this and wants out.

Saddiq Bey looks like an absolute stud. Went 5/8 3s today. His defense and quick closing out is a thing of beauty also. Just needs to work on finishing.

How are the Nuggets 1-4 right now? I haven't watched any of their games this year. Are they missing Grant that badly? Is playoff Jamal not the same guy as regular-season Jamal?

re: N/P Random League Observations/Commentary
Small sample size. I believe it was last year or the year before that the magic started off 4-0 and on fire. They ended up .500 at best and only made the playoffs because they’re in the east.

We’ve also seen pretty regularly players have down years when they rehab instead of train in the offseason. Well this offseason was unexpectedly short. Josh Hart told a story on his podcast yesterday where he wasn’t expecting to start the season until Jan/Feb like most players. He did a 12 week tendon strengthening training to help his knee, so he didn’t have time to tweak his shot like he had planned when they announced the season was starting back up so quickly. That probably happened to more players than normal. Minor rehab ate up their offseason unexpectedly.

Little things like that and not much practice when teams are playing every other day will probably lead to a crazy season.

I wanted to move up from 24 for him. I didn't think he would fall as low as he did. He would be a great fit. 2 way 3/4 with good size and can shoot the 3.
