Title says it, just a place for Pels fans to dump their thoughts/observations/events that don’t warrant their own thread and may or may not be directly related to the Pels.

First (far too premature)thoughts of the season:
- Nets look good, really good. Durant looks better than I even gave him as a best case scenario.
- Warriors really miss Klay and I could honestly see this team missing the playoffs again.

Nets look great but GS also doesn’t have Klay or Draymond,

The Warriors’ “beautiful basketball” is over. These guys don’t move the ball like they used to.
KD/Kyrie and Co. are gonna be favorites if everyone stays healthy.

And for their sake won’t get Klay back this year. His gravity really seems to be missed. Really allowing Brk to load up on Curry and dare Oubre/Wiggins/Wiseman etc to beat them.
I can honestly see the Pels really beating up on this version of the Warriors. Sticking Bledsoe on Curry to be physical and harass him and let Zion punish Green and dare Oubre/Wiggins to outplay our scorers.

Durant is a super saiyan god level player.

Nets are the best team in the east IF Kyrie and KD stay healthy. They are so deep. The Warrior dynasty is over. This team is Steph and a bunch of turds.

Also not really fair they are so deep they have a guy in Caris Levert coming off the bench that would probably be the second best player on the Klay-less Warriors right now....starting on 85% of teams.

I think crazy as it sounds, if KD and Kyrie do miss significant time, they are deep enough, and the East weak enough, that they can likely still make the playoffs and if they come back healthy be favorites.

Nobody here wanted to touch levert in a jrue trade tho. I think it's understandable with his injuries and all that. But yeah he is a real good player.

Nets v. Bucks has the making for a pretty good playoff matchup. Greek Freak on Durant and Jrue guarding Kyrie

Brooklyn has to be the deepest team in the league. That roster is insane.

I was ok with it. Of course we have no idea if it was ever a realistic offer.
But I would have welcomed it. Lavert is basically the type of player you hope one of those Bucks picks can develop into.

I think the difference in that sort of matchup is Brooklyn’s depth. Move past Middleton/Jrue and that team is looking to guys like Divencenzo and Lopez to be difference makers, while BKN has Allen/Lavert/Dinwiddie/Shamet/Prince to contend with.
Call me crazy but it think the Nets would be stupid to give up that depth and synergy to bring in a guy like Harden

Many people say Klay was always more important to that team than Curry.

Klay is clearly a vital artery with what he can bring to that squad.
Dude probably could have had a James Harden type career if he had wanted it(mvp caliber player with a team built around him) but he is just the perennial team first player and it sucks what happened to him....even if I hate the Warriors lol.

This requires high IQ players.

I love Klay but ehhhh idk about this

He’d be a different type of player, but he has all the tools to be a 28 - 6 - 5 elite player if he wanted it.
An elite shooter that can get his own shot at will, drive the ball, move the ball, and defend as tenaciously as Kawhi.
That comment was more about him being a player that could have went to his own squad as the lead guy and found success, not that he would literally be Harden
