My ideal scenario in the next year

First of all, I do not think the Hornets should go after Jennings that hard. I believe he is a solid player, but I do not necessarily think he would fit with Monty's system. He takes a lot of questionable shots,only shooting at a 41 percent clip for his career. Also, he is prone to turnovers and is lackluster on D. In the near future, I think we should try to get Greg Monroe to make a return to NOLA. A trade that may work would be sending Vasquez, Lopez, Aminu and a future 1 for Monroe. Then, in FA, we should sign Jeff Teague. He would be a great complement to EG.This would then leave us at a gaping hole at SF. We should then sign Chase Budinger.Finally, we should obviously not resign Henry.
Our lineup:
PG: Teague/Roberts
SG: Gordon/Rivers/Mason
SF: Budinger/Miller
PF: Davis/Anderson/Thomas
C : Monroe/Smith

I'd say. Until we see Davis and Gordon back, it's too early to say. We also don't have any idea what the draft class really looks like, either.

You see, the way a trade works is that BOTH teams have to have a motivation to WANT to do the trade.
What would Detroit's motivation be in making this deal?

Monroe will become a FA in the next few years and his value may be at his highest now. Also, they would be getting a solid amount of value for Monroe.

He will become a RESTRICTED Free Agent in 2 years. As long as the Pistons are willing to pay Monroe his market value, he will be a Piston for at least 4 more seasons after this one.
But they should definitely trade him now just in case he wants to leave in 2017.
