I'm struggling man. This is all so fricked. Everything from injuries to coaching to the players has been completely fricked this season.

I really think God doesnt want a basketball team in New Orleans.

If AD CP3s his way out of town, so soon after we went through this shite, I say frick this team and sell it to Seattle. I am sick of this constant mediocrity.

Also, they could have summed Gayle's whole article up with "HE GONE!"

Nobody said it was. However, by your comments, I am guessing you did not have to endure the early years of the Saints.

Nah, frick that. Just rebuild the team from the ground up and clean house. I’m not about losing our team.

Yup. Once the decision is made to blow it up, my excitement is actually going to increase. I'd love to put the right pieces around AD, but I just don't see the moves that would need to be made being available in time.

Am I the only one that doesn't want a ground up rebuild? ie I'd rather Tatum or Simmons than the #1 pick. Granted I pay no attention to college, but it seems like outside of generational talents even the top of the draft is hit or miss.

No you're not. The idea of a complete burn it down rebuild is asisine given the type of return AD will bring and the pieces left on the roster.

Let's say it's Tatum, Hayward, and the 12th pick. If that's the case, why would you trade Jrue? Why wouldn't you try to retain Niko and Moore? You're telling me that not a solid core to build around and you'd rather have a bunch of lottery scratch offs and hope?

The same goes for if you get Simmons and a first for AD and Hill. Jrue, Simmons, and cap space is a hell of a solid foundation to build on.

I think the vast majority of people who understand reality and aren't over fascinated with "potential" prefer to keep Jrue and have 3-5 really good young vet/veteran players while also having flexibility and young guys that you are grooming.

A total tear down only works if you have a fantastic structure and culture inside your organization AND you get incredibly lucky getting the super high picks in the drafts that have a transcendent player.

Start by tearing down the management. Bring in the best basketball minds you can find and give them complete control. Then burn this roster to the fricking ground.

I have no reason to believe that the structure of this organization will ever be built properly. From that, I have no reason to believe there will be a quality, sustainable basketball culture. But if they surprise me and do it the right way, I will be so happy to be wrong.

That's why I'm half tempted to let Boston have AD and keep Tatum..

Of course they would have to agree to it, but S&T Brown and Rozier, then give us Baynes and all 4 of their 1st rounders.. We could have a deep team without any true superstar for the media to try to push out every chance they got..

Rozier/Payton
Jrue/DP/Frank
Brown/Hill/Miller/DP
Niko/DP/Diallo
Baynes/DP/Okafor

Bonus if we can flip Hill and a 1st into someone like TJ Warren, and bring Brown off the bench at both SG and SF

I don’t know if your sauces have any different feel for things, but I feel like I’m seeing signs that Demps and Gentry will be here next year even if AD isn’t.

I’m so ready to move on from AD. He’s done a lot of good things for the city and was great here. I know he wasn’t surrounded with great talent here but he doesn’t make his team better and he also doesn’t have an alpha mentality. Lebron, Greek Freak, Russ, and Harden consistently carry their teams at least to the playoffs. Realistically, he’s the second best second option in the league behind Durant.

I’m ready to change the team to an athletic and deep team by trading him to Boston for Rozier, Tatum, Morris, and a 1st. We can have a lineup of Rozier/Holiday/Tatum/Niko/Randle with 1st rounder, Miller, and Morris off the bench. It’s a deep team with solid players throughout like the nuggets.
