Eligible members of New Orleans Pelicans’ organization - including multiple players - received their COVID-19 vaccine shot on Saturday.

Story includes statements from the Pelicans and the NBA:

This is significant, as it means whoever recieved it is no longer subject to the H&S protocols

Funny, but come on man. Guy gets it enough, to get it from his own fanbase. Guy is built like an extremely in shape defensive end or tight end. Just because basketball players are generally built like fricking pussies, doesn’t mean the one guy who isn’t built like a fricking fairy has a problem.

this globalization of the vaccine is very worrying ... Who says vaccine also says variant (not for nothing that we hear about variants since the globalization of vaccines) ...

I will immunize myself with plants personally.

Yep, me personally I don't agree with it and won't get it, but this helps the team not have to deal with the stupid contact tracing rules, so better for us

As much as a I try to pretend the rest of this site doesn’t exist, I am constantly reminded how many dumb fricking people populate this site.

I cannot believe a heathy young man basketball player or not would let these sick pieces of garbage stick anything in my body.
If you are putting trust in these global demons you need ur head examined. I’m not talking about ur average doctor or nurse because some of them have faith in the system. If you don’t you won’t be in that field long.
Any industry that can produce a product that if harmful or fatal and cannot be deemed liable in the court of law should raise a red flag.

If Ford makes a truck that has gas tanks blowing up and burning people to death they can be sued. If I’m an engineering firm spec’s some steel in a high rise and it fails they get sued.

Then how can a drug company make a vaccine and if it’s fatal hold no liability? I’ll give you on guess......Congress yes your friends in DC voted to shield these Dr. Frankensteins from liability of your health. What’s the incentive to make something that works. Or how bout let’s all rush something to market that by the way is subsidized by our DC friends make it mandatory to have and make billions of dollars.

Sorry for the rant but do hurry up and get in line for yours today. Not!

What?

"Given that the antibody response to the spike protein is so focused, could mutations in these restricted sequences lead to a less efficacious vaccine, if the human immune response is specific to the vaccine sequence? These mutations might be driven by antigenic drift, or by selection, either during natural infection or due to the vaccine itself"

I can't believe that I'm actually responding to the brain-dead on this site, but

Ehhh, I'm not gonna sit and give a holier than thou speech or anything because I've had a bunch of family members get it and they're fine. I just don't think I need it because I'm young and healthy, and frankly people in my bracket very rarely even see symptoms.

I don't think there's personally anything wrong with it, and the not suing part pertains to almost every vaccine because companies cannot pre determine how every single human will react to it.

I didn't post this to have a will he/won't he tinfoil debate on the topic, I posted it because it potentially has a great effect on the team and being the first team in the league to get the vaccine gives everyone a leg up from a H&S protocol standard on the league, and possibly saves guys from missing games.
