It was at the bottom of the 'Mean Pelicans not negotiating in good faith' ESPN article.
As I was reading it, I couldn't help but think what an idiot Magic Johnson must be to volunteer that information. He straight up ratted on himself for tampering.

They should. They’ve already gotten fined by the league for tampering with both Paul George 2 years ago and Giannis last year. Now add on the AD saga and now Ben Simmons. Lakers DGAF about the tampering rules

This is why the NBA blows currently ... Simmons is in about as good a position as you could ask for, and he's calling Magic about coming to join another team with a forward playing point guard....
All so he can be in L.A.
It's not about market size anymore.. the league is filled with moron players who have been coddled since junior highschool

There's email proof that Someone from the Sixers Organization & Simmons family contacted Pelinka with an unsolicited request of Magic to speak with / mentor Simmmons( one of thousands of "unsolicited" requests of Magic Johnson). Yes because he's THAT great.
The Lakers immediately notify Brand & the NBA of request to prevent unfounded future "tampering" issues. On cue Brand still slanders Magic & afterwards calls & apologizes.
Instead of wasting time slandering Magic & backtracking like a dog , Brand should be trying to find help for a young stagnant star obviously looking for someone to help him.

But didn't they deny Magic over a month ago and now Magic is leaking to the media that Simmons has requested to work with him and he wants to get NBA and 76ers approval? Why would he do that now if he was supposedly denied over a month ago? Or was that story false?

How can one deny Magic a 2nd hand/ UNSOLICITED request( 1 of thousands) that he didn't make?
And why did Brand openly apologize to Magic & call him to personally apologize about his slanderous interview? Pelinka called basically to cover his & Lakers arse & give proof to Brand that his people are contacting the Lakers regarding one of his players. One of your players( Simmons) desperately seeking help from Magic for his stagnant game.
Larry Bird ( Pacers exec) talked incessantly about his respect for active roster Kobe & how he'd love to team up with him. No whining about " tampering" from the Lakers. Jordan( team owner) & Kobe openly exchanged phone calls to a mentor throughout Kobe's entire career .No whining from the Lakers or " tampering" accusations.
Only insecure fans & historically incompetent organizations( like the Pelicans) seem to whine about tampering if someone dare mentions " their" player. Brand's apology to Magic should squash this.

It's a waste of time ,but you can simply Google Larry Bird ( Pacers President) openly with glowing praise of Kobe . Even said he'd like to team up with Kobe in 2012. Once said he should throw out his MVP trophies considering Kobe doesn't have one they are ' worthless'. On and on.....
