Nothing. Everyone has always known this. Back in October when he said he was definitely going to re-sign with the Celtics he said he was going to opt out first.

This means the Celtics can trade for AD if they want him. That’s all this means.

It means AD can actually be traded to the Celts. Because otherwise the Rose Rule issue is still in effect.

It means Boston can now legally trade for AD since Kyrie isn’t under a Rose Rule contract.

If he is officially opting out right now, that could mean that Boston can have a trade completed for AD (of course wouldn't be "official" until July 1), but this was always going to happen as Kyrie will be getting around 10 million more in his new deal
