Why would the Pels need cap space for free agency now? This isn't the time to load up on free agents.

This feels contradictory.

I'm talking in terms of I would feel better about 8&10 than any other trade, but Griffin would try to move the picks for veterans that aren't all that desirable.

I want to keep #4, but if a trade is made I would prefer to keep #8 and #10 than move those for something else.

Cap space doesn't only have to be used on FAs

were you expecting to rely on a rookie for your 3 point shooting this year?

wish ATL could turn 8 and 17 for #6 or #7.

Then we get 6/7 and 10 for 4

I mean if they did that, why not just offer us 8,10,17?

Also, I have no fricking godly idea why people are acting like Solomon Hill is a positive asset. He's a neutral asset AT BEST and even arguing that is still a difficult position.

Cause if they complete prior then it’s easier for us to work in Lakers deal I would imagine

It's no time to load up on veterans either.
Build a championship team; building a quick 7 seed lessens the chances of building a champion.

#4 and Solo for 8 and 10

Sign me up

Take Doumbouya at 8, and package 10 with Moore for a good young sniper, like a Van Vleet type (I know we cant get Van Vleet, just using him as a type of guy to target)

Sorry, I should have phrased better. Those 3 picks hadn't been offered to our knowledge, so it seems unrealistic to expect them.

I agree with your premise though chad.

For all the talk of the "3.5 (still think the Garland talk is a little manufactured) person draft"...I still very much dislike the looks of the prospects past 7 once Hunter/Culver/Garland/White are off the board. If there was one more player I could add to that grouping, I'd be glad to move down to 8/10 for 4, but I just don't see it...maybe Rui Hachimura could excite me, but the whole lot behind those 7 seems like a bunch of crap shoots.

Uh no... I never said that. He does however give you a long term solution for the lack of shooting in the starting lineup. That's why I asked the question of what is the plan to address the shooting in the starting lineup if we dont draft someone like Garland.

I’d rather keep Solo, do 8&10 if we going that way which I rather not. But if we do I want unprotected swap rights for next year included. They will be in the lotto next year and with these new odds, you never know...

Would anyone want to take Tyler Herro at the #8 or #10 pick? You can get a sharpshooter at a good price to compliment Jrue and Zion

He is an asset. Expiring contracts are an asset.

yeah, I get that, but usually you at least want the guy to be able to produce SOMETHING while his contract is expiring...

Hill is just... well, I don't know how he's even still in the NBA, being honest... he doesn't do anything well, he's not overly athletic, he doesn't seem to have a high basketball IQ...

He and his contract are not nearly as valuable as some are making it out to be.
