I get the idea that the neighbors called the cops because of the screaming, which is far better than the GF calling.

I also get the idea that this wasn't about a domestic altercation. If I had to guess from the description, I would venture that drugs were used, and the GF started screaming when one of Jaxson's friends ODed to some extent, and she was afraid that he was going to die.

By the time the police arrive, Jaxson's friend has pretty much recovered. When the police unexpectedly show up at the house, Jaxson doesn't want them to walk in on the drugs and his still-recovering friend, so he blocks the door.

Maybe I am all wrong, but that's my guess as of now. It definitely doesn't sound like he hit his GF and she then called the cops on him.

I haven't seen all the details, what leads you to believe the latter rather than the former?

A vivid imagination apparently.

The fact that all the neighbors heard the GF screaming means that one of them called the cops.

The only context that I can think of for "Don't turn him over!" is if someone has overdosed and someone is afraid of their inability to breathe or is scared that they might choke on their own vomit.

I can't think of a context in which those words make sense in a fight.

One of the neighbors described hearing the young woman at the NBA pro’s girlfriend’s home yell, “Don’t turn him over! Don’t turn him over!” before first responders arrived in vehicles with flashing lights.

That could be taken a few different ways. A 2nd woman asking Jaxson's GF not to "turn him over" to the police. Or someone passed out from drugs/alcohol that they have face down. "Don't turn him over...so he doesn't choke on his own vomit."

Also, obviously, the fact that it was her house matters, too. I can envision Jaxson fighting to keep cops out of his own house in the case of a domestic altercation, because it's "his house.". That just wouldn't make sense if it's his GF's house, so he had to be trying to protect her.

The thing that worries me in a good way for Jaxson's case but a bad way for his health is the fact that he hasn't been booked yet. I assume you aren't booked while you're in the hospital, so is Jaxson still in the hospital? Did cops beat the shite out of him?

That would probably be good for his career but bad for his Summer League prospects.

Police also could be trying to see how they want to play this as the NBA flexes its muscle behind the scenes.

We're told Hayes has been booked for battery on a law enforcement officer -- a felony. JH's bail has been set at $25k. - TMZ

I'll wait until the details are out to pass judgment because something sounds extremely fishy with LAPD who are known for their fishiness.

Gofundme Time.

Wait never mind. Jaxson makes 25k a quarter and his girl makes 25k a post to show her cheeks on insta.

They good. 25K bail is token AF.

Griff come speak your magic language to the LAPD please. This is a situation where all of your extra thesaurus reps can come in handy.

Booked and convicted are 2 very different things. Unless Jaxson did serious damage to the cop or was way out of line and they have video of it, does the DA really want to spend the resources it would take prosecuting a battery case against an army of high priced lawyers against a high profile person that could easily fan the flames of public discontent on social media?

But, please continue with your stereotypes.

WTF?

He is rich and an NBA star. In no way should he ever be around a situation where police become involved.

It is is extremely easy to never have to interact with cops in his situation.

I think that a lot depends on whether there's an underlying crime on Jaxson's part. If he hit his GF, then I think he's done. But, if my guess is right that this was not about a domestic altercation, then I think that this gets pled down to a misdemeanor, and Jaxson does some community service, and he receives some form of discipline by the NBA/Pelicans, and he stays on the team.

Nah, Griff specifically loves him. Zion and Naw are close with him as well.

The body cam would have to be pretty damning or there would have to be an actual physical domestic violence issue for him to face league punishment and/or the Pels releasing him.

He’s by all means a big part of our future plans. I don’t think that changes that unless he gave a cop brain damage during the melee or he actually hit a woman.

Feels like a lot of people are in between the denial and bargaining phase of this.

Jax put a cop in the hospital during a house call due to a domestic disturbance.

The body cam is going to need to be incredibly exonerating to walk away with just a slap on the wrist and business as usual with the Pels.

I hope that is the case(in that I hope it is far less severe than it seems, if he did these things, like beat up his girlfriend, then frick him and lock him up), but it's also very easy to see how this might just as easily be a situation of a frightened girlfriend that just got hit that is scared of coming forward for various reasons and/orJaxson went way over the line and initiated the confrontation and this isn't going away.

Only way he is gone is if he really did hit his girlfriend.
