showing off ballhandling, jumper in pickup.

considering this guy came in at 275, was known for being soft, slow, and out of shape, having no face-up game. he had an injury, and is now playing at 250 and lean and muscled-- dude, got a bad rap on a Philadelphia tanking loaded frontcourt shitshow.
i mean, he was a REALLY good, really skilled prospect coming in. i think the Pellies got a steal. and if you watch the video, he's super comfortable dribbling and pulling up.

I don’t think offense was ever his issue, it still depends on what he can do on the other end.

he wasn't known as a floor spacer. only a prodding back to the basket guy.
with regard to D, i think dropping 20 lbs and maybe working with strength and conditioning coaches might help with that.
as well as playing with the best defensive big in the league.

If he works out the Pels have an extremely good big man rotation. Honestly they already have an extremely good big man rotation and it just got deeper.

agreed. He has to work on defense. it's pretty obvious thats what this team stresses. hopefully, by having to guard AD, Randle, & Mirotic in practice, Jahlil will be pushed to work hard on that end

The best part, Dell was smart enough to give him 2 years. If he does indeed play up to his full potential, we will have his early bird rights to be able to re-sign him long term

Okafor always had a great face-up game within 10 feet. I don’t think that part will ever go away. His defense is the real key, and we will see if it gets better with his conditioning.
Damn shame he went to Philly at 3. He needed to be at a team that had high expectations and a culture where people held him accountable.

If you watch the clips, he’s dribbling and driving from the three point line.

Yes, that held back Joel Embiid.

Who’s he playing against
Chances are he’s always had pickup game handles.

Best case scenario, he takes Diallo’s 6ft 5inch non skilled self out of the bigs rotation and we throw Diallo into a bigger deal for a wing.

6’9”
And skilled
Do you watch the pelicans ?

He’s about 6ft 7 with no skill other than hustling. He’s an absolute liability. Don’t believe the program heights. Use your eyeballs. He’s maybe 2-3 inches taller than Jrue.

Yeah, Diallo is definitely not 6'9". He was 6'7.5" at the combine. He is certainly long which helps his standing reach, but he doesn't really use his length well. He's somewhere between energetic and spastic. Basically, he is and end of bench big until he proves otherwise.

with a strong lean towards spastic
if i were a pels coach i'd be making him practice passing, ball handling and rebounding...but diallo plays like he thinks he's a scorer
