Might have us a Hassan whiteside 2.0 situation. But it’s a small sample size

best rim protector in the league!!!!!!

Indiana is the first game he wasn't an on/off disaster. considering how well he's been shooting, it is remarkable

Hmm, he lacks explosiveness but he has such a good old man game around the rim. Basically the perfect 5 to pair with a hyper athletic 4 like AD

um no. and it's frightening that Pels fans might actually be thinking this.

perfect big next to Davis or Zion: can defend bigger players, the rim, rebound, move in space at least competently and on offense doesnt need the ball, decent passing skills (for a big), can hit 3s at league average rate and be comfortable staying out of the lane so Davis or Zion can work there.

Okafor does none of those things

pels are smart for getting players like okafor, signing them to good deals and giving them minutes. there is no downside if the goal is long range team building which it will be.

he’s a journey not a destination

Man I hope we keep Niko. He’s got quick feet, can shoot the 3, underrated on defense, and can rebound. He’s a nice piece to a solid team.

I think it’s time we reckon with the fact that Davis just may be impossible to build a winner around if he’s the number 1 option

the last star we had carried middling teams to greater heights than the sum of the parts would suggest is possible. We have 6 years of evidence of underachieving that the current star should rightly be held accountable for in some meaningful way

TLDR yes, mirotic should have worked

Honestly I'd rather go the Indy/Denver/Celtics sans Kyrie/Grizz during their run etc route

A well fitting well coached squad that doesn't have a "SuperStar"

Umm...3 All Star level players and an elite shooter.
Chris Paul had more continuity with his rosters than AD.

CP3 had perfect pieces around him for what he was (except at SG). An athletic center that can throw down his creative passes and get offensive boards. A SF that was one of the best spot up shooters in the league. And most importantly, a PF that was a master of the pick and pop and could create his own when needed.
