Morrow said he has talked to former Hornets guard Jarrett Jack to see what to expect while playng for Pelicans coach Monty Williams.

Morrow is encouraged by what he sees in new teammates. He said this team can get to the rim well. He doesn't see any problems with the Pelicans scoring this season.



New Pelicans center Greg Stiemsma said he hasn't talked a great deal with coaches and management about exactly what his role will be. But he doesn't expect it to change much from what it has been in the past, playing physical, rebounding and blocking shots.

Stiemsma said a defensive minded coach like Monty Williams is a defensive player's dream. He said he is excited to be here.

Although he hasn't talked to coach Monty Williams about his role, Stiemsma looking at this as a great opportunity to be a starting.
