This is my first year to really be a consistent watcher/fan. Prior, my main basketball viewing was March Madness stuff and before that way back to the professional playoffs when the Bull were big and before that the Lakers/Celtics and even the Dr. J Sixers earlier than that.

I gotta say, this team is getting fun to watch.

Man, you missed the good times post CP through 2014, when they were really bad but also quite entertaining. As some mentioned before, you had Gravy Vasquez, Gentleman Jack, J Smoove, Squeaky Johnson, etc.

Quite the list of characters

Sub Kira for Bledsoe in the 4th and the offense would flow so much better. I feel the team needs a steady flow of high energy role players like they’ve collected more than another star scorer.

Kira had five fouls and couldn’t keep his man contained.

Very good chance we lose going that direction

I’m far from a Bled apologist, but he came through tonight.

I mean long term. Stan isn’t wrong to play Bledsoe given who is available, it will be nice when that’s not the best option.

Oh, then I wholeheartedly agree.

Kira looks like he will be special when the light fully goes on and he has some time to round out his skills.

Kira honestly reminds me of a faster Mike Conley. If he turns out to be that then we’ll have one hell of a squad

In 3 years it would be fun to look back at this board ranking all of Kira/NAW/Ball/Hayes/BI/Zion on the team in terms of production. Could be some great takes and may be a fun thread to do after we draft another young guy

Team just needs to get better defensively ... I wouldn't even advocate major changes, maybe try to grab a knock-down shooter in the draft. I could roll with a lineup next year of:

Zo/Lewis/Thomas
BI/NAW/Inwundu
Zion/Hart/Thornwell
Hayes/Johnson/Gabriel
Adams/Billy

The brand is building in New Orleans.

The Pelicans will never be as popular as the Saints but they can get damn close if they make some conference finals, maybe an NBA Finals in the next 10 years

You’ll see them get a lot of support when they do well. The problem is right when they seem like they’re on the precipice, the Pelicans manage to screw it up

I can't see Lonzo, Thomas, Thornwell, Bledsoe, nor Gabriel here.

Iwundu played better last night, but is not overly impressing me.

Naji Marshall is a keeper.

BI/NAW
Zion/Hart
Hayes/Johnson

I’m with you, they may not all be here next year, just pointing out that a clear core that you could build on has appeared fairly quickly. Turns out Zo, Hayes, NAW, Lewis, and Hart all have more value than three months ago. NAW and Hart are fairly interchangeable but that is a good 8 deep roster that are all young with Hart being the oldest at 26. You'd expect them all to continue to ascend through Zion's first contract.

I'm digging this team too because they're talented and we get to watch them develop together. Really don't like manufactured teams.
