This take has been laughable. He’s an all star and is going to get better.

His defense still isn’t good but people saying we shouldn’t have given him the max are legit fricking retarded.

People who said don’t give him the max weren’t thinking clearly. Tonight, in clutch situations ( the Zion and one in regulation and the BI 3) Zion initiated. BI is much better in that role. Thankfully, we made the adjustment and he delivered.

Exactly what needs to happen from now on in clutch situations. Zion literally pulls half the defense to the rim with him and there's always a wide open shooter as a result. The 2 man game with Zion and BI can be deadly as frick moving forward, if we can keep them surrounded with other shooting threats.

Love BI, but imagine if Pels had pulled off an AD for Tatum deal, though.

The thing is if that was the deal, that would have likey been it, AD for Tatum and maybe some filler or a swap.

Ainge is stingy to a fault

Obviously Tatum is the better overall player, but it's a legit question what would you rather

Brown or Ingram

From all those reports Danny ainge was never trading Tatum.

Of course he wasn’t. Tatum is fricking nasty. BI is fricking good and Tatum is two steps up.

Where Jayson is out in front of Ingram is basically defense and clutch play, which, tbf, is kind of what separates the good and great players, but I also think Ingram has not exactly had the luxuries Tatum has had.

And more than anything, I believe in Ingram’s work ethic. The guy just has shown an ability to drastically improve aspects of his game that were critical flaws in dramatic fashion.

I really think people will be blown away once Ingram and Zion have a true off season under the same coaching staff to get better together.

And handle and creativity.

This isn’t as much of a slight on BI as it is being impressed with Tatum. He has a much bigger bag than BI currently does.

Tatum's size really helps him on both sides of the ball in comparison to BI. He's clearly had a growth spurt as he is taller then Ingram and much more stocky. Ingram tries to compensate on defense for his lack of size by being extra aggressive which can lead to over plays,as seen on the Brown foul. He tries to cheat on screens since he can get stuck on them but that is easy to take advantage of. On offense BI can be pushed around more easily and doesn't have the strength to power through the way Tatum does. Hopefully he continues to fill out because I think that's the only thing holding him back.
