I think you're missing the point...
BI is only shooting 4% less than Kobe in clutch situations...
That's not as horrible as you're making it out to seem

I agree that there should be concerns about BI...as the alpha on a contending team. I have no concerns with him as the #2 on a contending team though. The great thing is that we don’t need an alpha. As others have brought up, the important thing is how he adjusts to the new and foreseeable pecking order.
The only problem I ever had with BI was everyone calling him “our best player.” It’s been fairly obvious to me that for this team to do progress to where we all want it, Zion was going to have to be “the guy”. That is happening faster than I could have imagined. Hell, last night Zion went basket for basket with the greatest clutch player in the league. He just didn’t get the last chance.
I am hopeful that BI accepts his role as the number 2 guy on most nights because he can really excel in that role. One additional thing, I really like the idea of Kira getting more minutes with BI and not Zion if Zion is going to be point Zion. Kira could make BI’s life easier.

The dude wants us to take his opinion seriously about his views on a player that he names as Levin and Levine in the same sentence.
At least find out the player in questions name first ..before publicly showing to the board how piss poor you GM skills and player assessment values are.

I agree, he needs to put some respek on Tony Levin's name

If you wouldn’t trade Ingram for Levine straight up you are a straight fricking moron. Not even up for debate. I agree with you.

You would seriously trade Ingram for Levine, with no other assets thrown in from Chicago's side?
You guys would be fired after one season as a gm

I actually have some reservations about BI. I am not nearly as impressed with him as others are.
However, he IS a very good player, and the type of player this franchise has lacked its entire existence. I wouldn't trade him except for a massive, massive haul. Like way more than what we got for AD.
He is still developing, but he does need to accept a complimentary role. He isn't a good finisher and Zion will clearly be the best player.

He isn't a good finisher
When he does, with his length, it is mostly unstoppable. He's shooting 75% from inside of 3 feet this season, which is an insane number. The issue is, he rarely does it, only 13% of his shots coming from at the rim.

Given all the data about his shot difficulty this year and the eye test it really does look like he's having more trouble getting around guys and into the paint than last year.

Lol, I was just thinking about how much BI doesn't go to the rim compared to his contemporaries like Jaylen Brown and Jaylen Tastem
I don't think he's athletically gifted tbh

Jake had a REALLY good podcast the other day to explain why, despite having almost identical stats to last year, BI seems less impressive this year.
It is the type of shots he is taking. He finished at the rim far far more last year and is settling for some pretty shitty shots this year.
Also by finisher I actually meant end of game/clutch situations, which he is total dog shite at. So poor choice of words on my part.

Not sure what really happened there.

Kind of agree. He’s obviously a really good player but he seems to lack that killer instinct. He doesn’t have enough dog in him. But luckily we also have Zion. I think If we can add a legit wing to a core of BI, Zion, Kira, we’ll be right in the mix for a long time

BI was full alpha that game against Utah where he almost hit the game winner
Maybe he needs crowds to fire him up
Also think he's still coming to terms with being a leader

Well we had that last year too though whenever he was going to the rim more. I’m sure it has mostly to do with playing with Adams and Zion more like people have suggested, but I also wonder if it also has to do with the fewer fast break opportunities this year. Ingram seemed to get a lot more transition layups last year
Harris is at Texas now.
