I'm just not 100% sold on BI
Lots of talent, but way too many turnovers, soft on defense, and the offense slows down with him in the game. This team is two players away from being a big time threat in the West. I have read plenty of talk about the Pels and Levin. I would trade BI straight up for Levine, and never look back. I'm not even sure Chicago would make this trade, and I believe Griffin may not have the nuts for it. I say the core of this team for the next three years would be Zion, Kira, NAW, Adams, Hart, and I have not given up on Hayes. Everyone else is movable. The needs are shooting and Levine is a sharpshooter. They need length, athleticism, and a bad arse dog on defense.

lol Then by all means let's go get Zach Lavine.

At age 23, Lavine was 24/4/4. BI (currently 23) is currently 24/5/5. BI is a better shooter and playmaker across the board than Zach Lavine was at 23.

Let's see where BI is in 2 years.

This is a classic example of watching a dude go off on your team and thinking he’s better than your guys.

You think Ingram is soft on defense? Watch LaVine.

For fricks sake you people.

This is Ingram’s floor. Not his ceiling.

First year having the keys too. He’s going to get better at running the offense.

I also think we need to see Ingram adjust to the new pecking order. Someone brought up that heading into the season with Jrue gone and BI maxed out, it was being sold as his team. Point Zion said Not So Fast My Friend, and it might take a while for Ingram to accept that Zion's forced shots in the clutch are better than his forced shots in the clutch.

I think he’s a good player

I just Don’t know if he’s great with Point Zion.

He’s a little bit on ball dominant.
He shoots well though and that’s what we need around Zion. Guys who can shoot. He’s hiring 40% and 2.5 3s a game.

I don’t take BI to be a problem from an ego standpoint. I truly think the guy wants to win. He’ll figure it out.

Right, it will just take a little time to adjust. I started a thread about a JJ replacement, maybe the answer is let BI start screening for Zion. That would be a killer Pick and Pop combo.

I’ve been thinking about the Ingram screen for Zion. It’s very much like Davis screening for Boogie...which was lethal.

This has a chance to be better.

Ingram can score from anywhere on the court.

that’s me I’m one of those fricking people. BI can’t close and a “ star” player in this league that can’t close isn’t gonna cut it

In 43 minutes of clutch play this year, Brandon Ingram is 7-26 (26.9%), 0-7 from three, and has 6 turnovers. For his career he is 58-164 (35.4%) in clutch situations.

Lavine turns it over more and is also soft defense.

Hey Democrat! You make it sound like it's ridiculous to consider a trading BI for Levine. Do you believe Chicago would make this trade? I'm not sure if they would if they knew Levine was going to resign. The only reason there is trade talk is because Levine may want out of Chicago.

It's only my opinion. I believe Levine is a better player than BI. Not because of one game the other day, but because of what my eyes tell me. Much better athlete, and by the way he is scoring 28 points a game. It's not one game Democrat. Another thing, if you believe that JJ and Lonzo will bring Beal or Levine ? Than you are crazy!

Hey 07!
I believe Chicago would accept the deal before Griffin could finish the sentence.

Brandon Ingram is on another level than LaVine and if you polled GMs around the league they’d agree with me.

LaVine has had the keys for a few years in Chicago, they haven’t gotten any better.

Ingram is 30 games in as the alpha on a team.

That tells me everything I need to know about your basketball IQ. And calling me Democrat means you’re utterly clueless on the meaning of my handle, which doesn’t surprise me at all.

For his career, Kobe shot 39.3% and 29.2% from 3.

His entire career.

BI is 23.

he is a fast guard, but you're comparing apples to oranges considering the fact that Ingram is a lanky forward who's also fast in his own right. different strokes for different folks when you're comparing their 'athleticism'

Both are very good scorers, but I'd say Ingram is already the superior facilitator/decision maker despite being 2 yearas younger. This year being LaVine's "best", consider he's also 2 years older and has been in the league for 2 more years and this is his first year taking that leap.

He's been the alpha on that team since day one and has won what...22 games a year? I like him, but his game is not conductive to team wins as the alpha.

Lets say this, over the past 3 years (giving him a break his injured year) LaVine has improved 1 aspect of his game: scoring. Ingram on the other hand while with the pelicans has improved his shooting/scoring, facilitating, and looked like he was a clearly better defender than his laker days.

LaVine has a ceiling, Ingram's is still TBD.

I think you’re missing my point. BI up to this point can’t close games... Kobe was clutch
