@ScottDKushner
The theme in the #Pelicans locker room seems to be that the Jazz played really well and ther wasn’t much NOLA could do.

Unacceptable from top to bottom.

No one in the organization really seems to care anymore. It’s done and I don’t see it every getting better

Probably not the way they should be looking at it and not the message to be giving in the locker room, but we definitely caught the Jazz at the wrong time. I mean they torched the Warriors by 30 a few nights ago. Not the team you want to be figuring out post-Boogie lineups and rotations against right now.

They need to find a way to go 3-2 over the next 5. Winnable games against the Lakers and Nets. Need to pull one out vs. the Sixers or Pacers. Then finally get to the break, rest up, and get Solo back in the lineup to shore up this putrid D.

Need to get rid of that dumbass coach. Just by looking at that mouth breather you can tell he should have never been hired.

Most of these losses where lack of energy has been a problem, AD has often been one of the most guilty of not bringing it. I know he’s tired, but he has to be better. Jrue can’t be the best player on the court for the Pels if they expect to win. I know you guys want a quick fix with the coaching, but a big part of the disappointment the last few years is we've all assumed AD is something that he apparently isn’t, at least he isn’t it yet.

Giving up 133 points to the Rubio led Jazz is inexcusable

Easily the most disheartening thing I’ve heard only slightly behind hearing Boogie was lost for the year

I know losses like these are embarrassing and tough on the coaches and players, and having to explain night in and night out why we can’t string together games is defeating. But if you don’t have the toughness to sit in the loss and try to understand why you lost, or why you’re always flat in the 3rd, or why there is a lack of effort, etc and try to change, then you’re destined to repeat those mistakes.

Its a culture problem in the Pelicans organization. It doesn’t seem like there is a strive to be great. Sean Payton is a jerk but he’s obsessed with winning and that’s the kind of guy you want on your side. Brees is passionate about being the best. I don’t see that in AD.

It’s also a scheme problem. All year we’ve watched the Pelicans struggle to score buckets in spite of being talented enough to be a top 10 offense. The Jazz do not have better athletes than the Pelicans. But they played beautiful basketball, were efficient, and had way wide too many open layups and shots. We shoot more contested shots than any team I’ve seen.

I know I’m ranting but I’ll end by saying I want new ownership. I want Benson to hire someone to run the Pelicans that’s not Loomis. But to start, we need a new coaching staff. It’s criminal that we have the players we have and still experience these offensive and defensive woes

The problem is that they did not go down swinging. AD only had 15. If he has 35 and you lose by 10 because the Jazz caught fire from 3 then you can say there was nothing you can do.

I was at the game last night and it was an utterly listless performance.

And just when people think they're done the Pels are going to suck us back in by rattling off a few unexpected wins in a row. PTAO

It also didn't help that Miro couldn't find his shot last night. He's the type of guy who you can usually count on to shoot you out of an offensive slump.

I wonder if they keep him in the starting lineup or eventually move Hill or Diallo into that spot and have Miro as your offensive spark plug off the bench.

Jazz outrebounded us 45-30.

Jazz made more FTs (15) than the Pelicans attempted (13). We only made 7 of those 13. Think there's a discrepancy there? It's even worse that Jazz had 3 more fouls than we did.

Rubio and Hood played 32 min each and no other Jazz played more than 30 minutes. 5 Pelicans played +30 minutes.

Only 3 Jazz players average 30 minutes/game. 5 Pelicans average +32/game (includes Boogie because still statistically relevant).

Overall I'm torn, they are making for not playing well, but they may not be playing well because they are gassed. Regardless, it still falls on coaching and management.
