If the D-League goes to 30 teams, where would the Hornets affiliate be?

Biloxi? Mobile? BR? Lafayette?

I'd vote BR

I think it most likely would be Mobile or Biloxi, not because they are better host cities than BR (they aren't) but because the Hornets essentially "have" the Louisiana market on lockdown. They need to expand out into lower Mississippi and Alabama to recruit new fans and putting the AAA team there is one way to do that.

I'd still vote BR

The only way for that to work though would be for the D-League to become a legit minor league system to where the people in Biloxi could follow those players to the Hornets.

That won't happen though as minor leagues won't work in basketball and the D-League will forever be an NBA-reject league on par with EuroLeague.

I'd guess Shreveport/Bossier, they have a nice arena up there. The Hornets would do well to get some up the people up there interested in NBA basketball.

I think Birmingham or Jackson would be a nice fit. Birmingham would be my preference of course.
