Conley and Jrue would give guards nightmares on the defensive end like we did Portland last year.

Jrue holiday and ad would disagree with you

Elfrid is better going forward, it's really not that close IMO.

Elfrid was almost out of the nba last year before we picked him up

You pursue and take Darren Collison or Patrick Beverly over either though.

I would be happy with both of those guys

Shocking bc he’s played here, Orlando and Phoenix. Payton has really dragged down some great organizations

The 3 worst PG situations in the NBA and he was ran off from Phoenix and Orlando.

The flow of our offense, ball movement was amazing when Rondo was on the court. Teamamtes and coaching staff loved him. We won when he was here. We have been terrible every other year with Gentry. Dont break the bank for him, but no issue bringing him back. We either have the worst guard situation or close to it in the NBA.

9/8/5 while being one of the biggest defensive liabilities in all of the NBA in the backcourt. That's the guy you want to bring back.

Because they'd totally say he's not good publicly.

And was clearly wayyyyyy better than Rondo last season, not really close.

we were worse offensively when he was on the court, factually.

We still do if Rondo is getting minutes next season with us.

I question whether you want a true PG at all with Jrue and Zion vs. more guys that can play off ball. That being said, you can't question the leadership and intangibles he brings. His practice habits started rubbing off on guys and Jrue/AD were watching a lot more film. It'd be great for Zion to get exposed to the maniacal work ethic of a basketball genius.

Shot 36% from three just last year, so this is just not true

If there was a separation stat, Rondo would lead the league in furthest distance from a defender. Like %5 of his three's are contested.

So he has good shot selection and sets others up for easy shots too? sounds good to me

Jrue would be guarding the other teams best guards, and rondo averaged almost a steal and a half a game, not great, but not "biggest defensive liability"

Guarantee you that ad and jrue would take rondo back in a heartbeat, you think they didnt like winning games and being in the playoffs?

Has Elfrid ever been on a team with a winning record?

Steals per game is your barometer? Oof.

Except for the fact that the offense was better when he was off the court.

Because we should not be targeting well below average players to 9 man rotation minutes.

I'm all for bringing him back if he's going to be our 11th or 12th guy averaging less than 10 minutes per game.

I want guys that can score the damn ball and have 3pt gravity.

That’s what we need. Long range bombers and guys that can create a shot.

Because he is going to be expensive relative to alternatives, want too many years to come here, want a starting position, is wildly inconsistent, and he would be anchoring an offense with at best one spacer.

It worked with Boogie because Boogie and Mirotic are good three point shooters and we had a rotation of shooters that almost always had 3 shooters on the court at all time.

A starting lineup of Jrue, Rondo, Zion, AD, and a low volume 3 and D guy is going to crush our offensive flow.

This. Guys who can shoot but also don't need the ball a lot to be effective.

Why? He got paid by Los Angeles because he helped lead the Pels to the 2nd round. Did he really do anything this past year to justify a contract above $3-$4 million?
