Ingram legitimately looks like a future superstar. I remember it was being reported that Griffin thought Ingram was the best piece available out of all the potential assets. Certainly looks like he was right.

I think I convinced myself that Tatum was better than Ingram because well frick AD, LeBron and the Lakers. If Ball and Ingram continue to progress this will be a trade rape.

Yep, once again I will openly say I was wrong about Griffin’s judgement and he was right.

Was very strong on Tatum over Ingram and initially was just hoping we could showcase him enough to get some sucker team to buy high on an inefficient shooter some team would be suckered into the Durant comparisons.

Though I will say that most that preferred the other trade assumed Tatum/Brown was the centerpiece, which given their growth this season would have still been a heck of a haul.

But that shouldn’t detract from how incredible Ingram’s growth is, clearly leapfrogging either of them individually in my mind.

I don’t think it’s considered trade rape if the lakers win a championship with AD. Still way too early to tell.

I still say the next ten years is what determines the trade.

Everyone thought the Pau Gasol trade was so bad that the league had to be rigged. And while the Lakers still won that trade, long-term it wasn’t a bad move for the Grizzlies, probably even a great one in retrospect. As the Grizzlies were still losing with Pau, so they could still lose without him and then build something more structurally sound. Which they did. They made mistakes afterwards but I don’t blame the trade for that.

The Lakers could win the championship and yeah, it would be a good trade for them. But if we end up with a dynastic team with Ingram, Zion, some of those picks, and maybe even Lonzo, Hayes, and Naw, we still win that trade by a lot.

I wanted Ingram/Brown and the Grizz pick over every package. Would have settled for jus Tatum and Brown though.

Hated to trade with the Lskers but it helped once they landed #4

My concern with Ingram wasn’t necessarily quality play as much as the one-two punch of his blood clots and his contract being up this season.

Given the team’s history with injuries, I was skittish as hell about taking on a guy on an expiring deal who was potentially banged up. Kind of like Eric Gordon.

Tatum has had flashes of being a very dominant 2 way player that can do it all and he’s got filled out frame compared to BI...I think that’s one of the biggest reasons people wanted Tatum, on the hope he would become consistent and all ready possessed a more preferable NBA style body. BI has shown that he can and will be a star in the league which I am happy about.

I mean Tatum is a year younger and is averaging 21/7/3 this year.

I don't think we could've gone wrong with either one.

Yup I convinced myself Tatum was better because I just don’t like the Lakers or lebron. Glad Griffin doesn’t think like a fan.

I watch Ingram and don’t know how he does some of it. He sometimes seems to come out of nowhere.

BI has been incredible so far this season. I cannot any scenario in which the Pels don’t offer him a max deal at the end of the season. With Kuz supposedly being on the trading block I’m shocked that we haven’t heard any BI for Kuz trade rumors yet.

yep. Me too.

I stand corrected.

Tatum is not as good from deep. He tries to take charge and often doesnt hit on his low trajectory outside shot. Hes Chris Mullin jr.

I still dont want lonzo with game on the line.
I fear that you wont see the problem there until pels in playoffs.
I guess we'll see in a few weeks if his feeding zion makes up for lousy ft shooting.

The only thing that worried me about Ingram was the bloodclot. Being the Pelicans, I assumed we would get him, he would be out like 50 games with the clot, and then we would have to pay him a shite load of money.

Thank Jesus my assumptions were wrong.

Lol so did Ingram

This board was ignorant when it came to those sample sizes though.
