I like Thornton, but he's not the savior. That's the whole point. Learn to be able to be subjective in your fanhood.

Thornton is out of control of times and hurts the team.

He is also a great spark off the bench sometimes and helps the team.

He needs to be more consistent. That being said, I think he is still a good player. Just not as good as most people on this board make him out to be or expect him to be someday.

Thornton doesn't even need to be the 3rd best player on the team to give us what we need.

But even so...why can't we expect big things? Trying to spare our feelings? Worst thing that could ever happen is disappointment.

PEople dont make him out to be a superstar. Atleast most dont. Just most people think he is the second best guard on the team and should be getting starter minutes off the bench

Thats how i feel and I dont think thats extreme by any stretch of the imagination

Just about every team has a player who is a fan favorite and is not the feature player of the team, in our case it is Thornton for most fans. Tonight's loss was not his fault, just get the hell over it all.

Regardless, he can do no wrong on this board. For Christ sake's some dude said he was fouled. It's one thing to cheer for him to do well, like i do. But you gotta call a spade, a spade.

Was it goal tending? yes. But to say he isn't reckless when going to the rim or that he doesn't heave three's like it's no ones business is simply pure homerism. He has potential to be a good NBA player, but he isn't yet. Some LSU fans can't grasp that yet.

meh, he seems much better about it this year as compared to last. He doesn't really jack up a ton of 3's unless he's open or has been hot.

You think if that was Willie Green nobody would have said he was fouled? That's just being a Hornets homer nothing to do with Marcus.

I just watched the game on the DVR. That play with Thornton laying it up should have been called goaltending. #33 Grant Hill hit the ball after the ball hit the backboard and the referees should have reviewed it.
