Only 3 rookies in NBA history have 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in under 24 mins

One of them is Hayes, and hes the youngest.

Young man is growing up quick

Dude needs to work on two things this summer:

1) Boxing out
2) Post game

He will become a 12-15/8 guy next year. Then the following summer work on a 3.

Okay okay ill stop dreaming.

Board etiquette is you post the major tidbit with the link. In a WYHI post, you add pics. In a post like this, you add the others who’ve met the benchmark.

You aren’t dreaming. He has great mechanics. He will definitely develop a 3 sooner rather than later. Once he gets a little more arse on him, the box outs will become much easier.

Kind of a pointless stat if that's who you share company with for it.

If he puts on 20 pounds of mostly muscle both of those will be easier to pick up. Dude is a twig, just need to make sure his burst isn't compromised by getting bigger.

Bowie was a good player, just injured.

Kind of like comparing a player to Greg Oden. Comparing their game to his is good. Comparing their knees to his, not so much.

i know that, but normally you see a stat like that and it says "only two other rookies have ever done this, and those two are Shaq and Tim Duncan", or some other all time greats.

Disagree. If he learns better defensive positioning, he will be more playable than he currently is.

The current issues with Jaxson are that he’s out of position way too often (and picks up fouls because of it), and he’s too small to keep on the floor with a guy like Jokic.

He also forgot to pick up Chick-Fil-A for the team flight.

But in all seriousness, Hayes is about 2 years away from being a starting caliber player for a playoff team.

And by necessity he must develop a 3 point shot, because Zion & Hayes together will cause spacing issues(the same will be the case for Zion, but Zion is will be an elite finisher from the jump)

sam bowie was great when healthy.
Leg fractures limited his career.
Same as walton.

Taken 2 overall ahead of mj at #3.

I agree with all of your comments. Just a tweak in that some of the time he is put in poor defensive positioning, is because there was another pel that blew an assignment and Jaxson is the last line of defense. When a guard or wing is coming with a full head of steam to the rim and no perimeter defender picks them up, it is a hard task

Again, I agree that Jaxson is needing some seasoning, but to see how open he is to learning, these defensive lapses will get straightened out.

He will be a mixture of Jarrett Allen and Serge Ibaka. His ft% has been a little rough so far at 65%, but mechanics are there, AND we have already seen him make a three. AD didn't make a three until year 2 and made 3 total after his first 3 seasons (75% ft as a rookie). Ibaka made 2 total after his first 3 seasons (63% ft as a rookie). Both can shoot well from three now, but both always had good mechanics so it isn't surprising. Also, Hayes' passing ability is higher than rookie AD.

I'm not expecting all NBA superstar from Hayes, but I think he could end up being on a couple all defensive teams and a core guy for a long time.
