“We are on target for 8weeks. Give or take. If it’s 9 that’s fine. If it’s 10 that’s fine. If it’s 7 that’s fine”

Went on to insinuate he was the one that told TNT the second week of December for him.

Said it on the SportsHangover on 100.3.

“Once our team gets back in town our coaches will really begin the process of putting him through the mental aspects of getting ready to play.”

Lets all just pray that he's back before the January 6th PT Suite game.

Reggie Miller said last night that he doesnt see Zion playing this season & almost immediately there was a correction by Reggie that he'd be back mid-December. That's 100% Griff trying to control the narrative

Thing is, fans need to prepare for something similar to load management when Zion comes back. He won't be playing 30+ mpg.

Yup. It was pretty funny.

All of this nonsense out there that he won't play is just a bunch of garbage.

I really hope he beats the 8 week timeframe. I have tickets for the game against the Lakers Wednesday!

I'd be really surprised if his first game is an away game.

I wouldn't. Let him get his feet wet before the home debut.

No chance there.

I'm hoping to see him 12/7 @ Dallas. That seems doubtful too, but a slight chance it could happen.

National TV vs a Top 5 guy in the league

I think if he’s ready wouldn’t they want his debut to be in front of a national audience? Even if he only plays 15-20 min there will be a ton of eyes on us

No, I think they would want it in front of his home crowd, in his home locker room, where he has worked in his own training room all day. Instead of just having traveled, etc.

It would be significantly more comfortable for him, less eyes on him and his rustiness, and it gives the home crowd a serious gift.

They will bring him back when he's ready to play, but I believe he will play in more home games than away games, at least initially, if that makes sense.

I'm still calling it Dec 15th vs Orlando

He definitely will not make his debut on a road game, that would be cheating the hometown fans of seeing him in his first action

I think that is when it will be, then we play the Pistons at home on 12/9, and he can get on the big stage against the Bucks on 12/11.

Like I said...either on the 9th or 15th make sense. I firmly believe it will be a home game.

The 9th also from a marketing stand point could be huge.

LSU in the SEC championship on 12/7, Saints vs 49ers on 12/8, and the debut of Zion on 12/9. That is a huge 3 days for Louisiana sports fans.

You're speaking my conspiracy theory language.

I do think the 9th might be slightly early.
