In the span of 24 hours, he has turned this into a 4 person draft, drove up the interest in our pick and is linked with flipping it for multiple picks or proven stars, all without coming out publicly and saying anything.

He's very very good at manipulating the media.

He did convince an entire NBA organization to draft Anthony Bennett. He probably is a pretty smooth talker.

Some of us know how to watch basketball?
I'd personally like a thread, like with the Buddy Hield detractors during our last draft night, to get people to put money where their mouth is on guys like Garland.
Lots of shite talkers of Hield back then that told a lot of the same people they were crazy that suddenly disappeared after their anti-Hield identity got exposed.
Garland is going to be a solid player. He checks off all the offensive boxes you want in a modern NBA PG, including the highly coveted skill of creating great separation and hitting off the dribble three-point shots with a quick release and being able to move off-ball and use screens and movement to get open behind the arc. You don't need 20 games of tape to see those skillsets. Is he going to be an all-star? I think fringe is his ceiling, but barring injuries his floor is going to be a Lou Williams level scoring punch and every team could use that.
