Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greek: G?????? ??tet?????µp?; born December 16, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player of Nigerian descent. He is a 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) tall small forward that can also play as a point forward. His older brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, is also a professional basketball player. His nickname is "The Greek Freak".

When he turned 18, in December 2012, he signed a four-year contract with the Spanish League club Basket Zaragoza 2002. [5] The contract with Zaragoza runs through the 2013-14 to 2016–17 seasons, [6] and includes an affordable NBA buyout clause. He stayed with Filathlitikos, for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

During the Greek A2 League 2012-13 season, Antetokounmpo shot 46.4% from the field overall (62.1% on 2 PT field goals), 31.3% on 3 PT field goals, and 72.0% on free throws, while averaging 22.5 minutes per game. [7] He averaged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, in 26 games played.

He's an 18 year old of Nigerian descent that is a Greek citizen. He's a freak of nature SF/Point Forward that is considered perhaps the greatest talent in the draft, but will need 2 years overseas. At least.

I'm totally down for the Marion trade, but only if we both like someone available at 13, and, most importantly, have gotten feelers on the likes of FA's such Iggy/Pek and other trade possibilities like Deng, and come away with the impression that we don't stand a chance at getting any at a reasonable price.

I don't think anything terribly useful will come out of 13 (unless Shabazz or McCollum falls), but I do think that many people are underrating how good Marion still is. I really think that, keeping all else in the NBA the same, replacing Aminu with Marion adds about 5 wins. Unfortunately, he has little left in the tank, and probably will refuse to show up and will force a buyout.

Would be a GREAT pick at 13
