It's obvious that we need a "closer." Hopefully we can stay in the hunt long enough for him to come back.

I think with EG we are 5-1 right now instead of 3-3 with wins tonight & Spurs.

Thoughts?

Couldn't agree more. It's so frustrating to think about after games like this. Hopefully he can shake his injuries and remain relatively healthy.

This team is a playoff team with a healthy Gordon. No doubt in my mind.

Yeah his 23 PPG definitely couldn't make a 4 point difference.

kept it pretty damn close without him. Our biggest weekness on offense was perimeter shooting and guess what Gordon can do?

Along with being the closer, he would've done a much more effective job defending a guy like Harden.

I can only hope that the next thread will be...

Eric Gordon: Piece in Action.

We need him to do more than close. He's our best player and BY FAR our best perimeter defender.

I couldn't end up watching the game tonight but was following along with the game cast and was pretty much thinking the same thing. Until we get EG back it seems like we are relying on Ryan Anderson. When he's on, we're in great shape, but if he has a rough shooting night, like tonight, we're in trouble. Even though he was terrible from 3 tonight, he put up enough point for us to make it close. Just needed a couple more of those to fall it seems.

This. He's also probably our best rebounder. He brings so much more to the team than just scoring.

Tough loss, but the team worked hard. Greivis Vásquez deserves more credit, he's been playing out of his mind for us so far.
