I'm not getting my hopes up until I see him play a long stretch of games without getting hurt. He's still an injury prone guy so I don't want to get my dreams crushed... again.

Whenever he falls I'll fear we lose him again for 80 games

His injury proneness is over stated. Here's his actual injury history:

2009 He only missed 4 games his rookie year.
2010 Missed 20 games, 9 due to a strained groin, and the other 11 sprinkled throughout the season
2011 Missed 26 games, 24 due to a sprained wrist

Last season and this season get huge Asterisks next to them IMO. He apparently came to the Hornets as damaged goods and the tank lead to not aggressively treating it. Him being out now appears to still be part of the same injury. If this rehab works, and that still remains to be seen, then if you scope him at the beginning of last season and give him this rehab he misses 8-12 weeks last year and is ready for opening day this season.

He is obviously not an iron man like Kobe, but he doesn't break his ribs when he sneezes either. I expect him to play 50 - 60 games most years. Hopefully he just decide to get his injury out of the way early this season.

His injuries are definitely worrisome, but I don't think he'll be missing a majority of games every season like he did last year. missing 10 or 20 a year is about what I expect and wouldn't be bad at all as long as he can play in the playoffs.

Eric Gordon ?@TheofficialEG10 My last week of rehab before heading back to New Orleans. Excited about getting back with the team. #Hornets #silentassassin

the team? Not our team, my team... clearly he shows no possessive interests in his own team he plays for.
