ELITE BOARD THREAD: It’s Morant or Tatum... or bust.

Teams building around bigs are retarded.

I’d rather Morant/Tatum packages than AD signing his Supermax with us.

This is a guard/wing league. Bigs don’t win titles anymore. Fact.

Cool. How are we going to get the #2 pick?

Or are you suggesting we take Morant 1 and trade AD for Tatum?

So, hypothetically, if Portland calls and offers Dame for AD, you tell them no?

Just be like "Sorry, Morant or Tatum or nothing"

He said this is a gaurd/ wings league so "hypothetically" your post doesnt make sense. Of course you take that deal... Jrue and Dame would be one of the nastiest PG/SG lineups I have seen. He meant considering the PG/SG talent in our intended targets this is our best chance because guys like Knox, Robinson, etc may not have as big of impact as we need compared to the modern NBA style of 3 and D.

Where does Zion fit and how do we get Morant from the Grizzlies?

Trade Machine

This trade with Pelicans getting the #2 & 22 pick and Memphis getting picks #14, 20 and Celtics 2020 first rounder.

My ideal scenario involves us parting ways with AD and somehow getting both Zion and Ja.

Not holding my breath, and have season tickets regardless. However as a fan, that scenario would excite me as much or more than any other.

I could see that core becoming akin to Golden State SE.

I would be all about the Davis trade facilitating getting Tatum, Brogdon, the Memphis pick.

Then it should say we need wings and guards in return for AD..

In just about every trade scenario we are getting back a 3&D wing or guard, or one that has the potential to be one..

Tatum
Brown
Barret
Ingram
SGA
Galo

It's not Morant or Tatum or bust, its elite wing or guard or potentially elite wing or guard or bust

Zion is not the typical big
And your reading comprehension is terrible.
Stick to the non-elite board threads

You think Memphis is trading JJJ and the No. 2 pick for Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown and Frank Jackson?

I’m guessing you didn’t get an Elite Board invite

AD can’t play on the wing at all. Zion can guard the 3, 4, and 5

Yeah the grizzlies should just automatically move to Seattle if they agree to that trade

I just don’t see us getting both players. Unless Memphis really loves RJ and the knicks give them that future unprotected Mavs pick. Or if the Lakers give up Lonzo and the 4th and the grizzlies really love Culver. I give it like a 10% chance of happening

Is that better than out chance of outright winning the lottery?

It was the only way I could get the money to work. Don’t think it would happen, but that was kind of the point of posting it in the “or bust” thread.

Correct. As long as 3 pt % keeps increasing across the league, bigs will only be role players. The NBA needs to fix the 3 pt shot before bigs will be valuable again. If I’m building a team, I want speed and shooting ability and court vision
