Shoutout to that reporter who broke the silence and told him to forget about if he's going to the nba.

IMO the big question is do we try to get to add weight and play a purely PF/C role? Or does he drop weight and become a guy that can guard multiple positions?
I think the best recent comparison is Grant Williams. Both were real good in college, can hit 3s and guard multiple spots, under sized PF who fell because they’re 6’7. Celtics tried to add weight to Grant Williams his first year or 2 and it didn’t really work out. This past year, he lost weight and had easily his best year.
I think we should do the same with Liddell. Modern nba emphasizes perimeter players more than paint players. Most teams don’t even have a legit backup center in there rotation.
Would love seeing him come off the bench, guarding all over the court, hitting threes and of course the occasional help block on defense.

Drop weight IMHO.
Given the kind of guys we are bringing in, it looks like the plan is to have as many flexible defenders as possible.

His weight is fine where it is. I wouldn’t ask him to drop weight as he carries it well. I would ask him to turn some of that excess body fat to muscle. But he is basically a more skilled longer Jay Crowder type. Which is good for a 3/4 position and some small ball 5.

Pulling extra hard for this guy. I think at a minimum he'll fit in great with the locker room.

That's kind of a big deal for a center
EJ is not a center. He's a wing and can play the stretch 4.

He was likely drafted to play down low.
He's not athletic enough (or, doesn't have the right athleticism) to be a wing on this team.
