Crazy that Atkinson might end up getting the Pels job as our 3rd choice instead of 1st like many of us thought when he got fired.

I’d prefer Atkinson over Doc or Lue.
The only thing that I don’t like about KA is his rotations and Brown-esque distribution of minutes.
Everything else I’m a fan.

If you’re that low on a guy like Atkinson, wouldn’t you want to give an assistant coach a chance to lead us considering Griff has already seen Atkinson has a HC in this league. Unless he thinks the other assistant coaches aren’t good at all or too risky

Not D'Antoni? I'm not a fan of his or anything but I gotta think he becomes the number 1 choice.
He can get the pelicans to the playoffs the quickest. Now, they might get eliminated in the first round every year but still

Atkinson won’t have the gravity of Doc. But the guy is renowned for working his arse off. Spends a tremendous amount of time with players on the court.
