Right which is why when I heard the report we were interested in JR, I assumed we were trying to move Solo + 2019 2nd + 2020 2nd + $$$ to get JR's contract. Then move JR + Wes + 1st or JR + Niko or Randle + 1st for a difference maker.

Middleton is unlikley, but there is deifnitely smoke on that front. Benched, shooting slump, and throws a fit at practice. That sounds a lot like a fractured relationship with Bud.

That is vastly different from what I would want to do. Personally, I would take the shot on John Wall and if it doesn't work, oh well - I'd be fired anyway and the team would probably move. But who cares - I'd be fired.

Back to the Pelicans.

We all know the team is one impact SF or PG away from being a legit contender. People act like a AD's fate is sealed; I think he can win here if the team puts the right players around him. The team has a lot of good pieces now, but it's time for an upgrade at PG or SF.

This year doesn't matter. Cleveland would not take on 9 million dollars and take up a roster spot for a "second or two"

You can buy a mid 2nd for 1-1.5 mil. Why pay 9 mil for one or two AND take up a roster spot next year?

I'm not saying that Bazemore is our missing link. I'm saying, it's unwise to bank on being able to make trades for players that are good fits on their current winning teams.

Milwaukee just cleared cap space in the Cavs trade. What could we possibly offer them for Middleton? I hope it's something great, because Middleton would be in demand on the trade market.

Your plan is to wish upon a star for an unavailable player, wait until the trade deadline, and hope our plan B players are still available. I guess the rest of the league will stop and wait for us to do that. Surely a team like Houston wouldn't swoop in on Bazemore while we're waiting and hoping?

Then, for a second you realize, "Oh, I was wrong. He didn't say he liked Barnes.

But then quickly shifted back to your hatred of me and justified your attack on me for some reason. I could imagine something like, "Well he's still a jerk and a liar. And he's wrong all the time, blah, blah, blah"
