I apologize for double-posting.

Here's another double-post for everyone.

Mason Ginsberg

So, here is what we "know." Someone with the Bulls leaked the Asik + 1st for Mirotic deal, then Woj reported that the Pels are balking at deal if Bulls pick up Mirotic's option. The rationale on the Pels' side is being able to afford all existing deals + Mirotic + Cousins.

I just read that thread. The sense I get is that Demps knows the Pels are the only team (currently) offering a 1st for Mirotic, and is playing chicken with the Bulls' GM to see if they'll take Ajinca too.

Another thing for people to keep in mind is that even if Chicago agrees to what we asked for, they have minimal motivation to do it sooner rather than later. The more games we lose between now and February 8th because of lack of depth improves the pick they are trading for. The only threat to them is a deal coming along that we like better.

That's a real threat since every loss turns up Dell's panic meter. Somebody's going to take his first round pick, it doesn't have to be them.

Or a Mirotic injury. The Bulls seem happy with our 1st. Maybe we can squeeze Grant out of them or have them also take Ajinca. Maybe, if we get one of those, we agree to pick up Mirotic's option or re-negotiate an extension.

AD/Ryno required Ryno playing a lot of center on defense because of AD.

Watch a lot of Bulls.

They play Niko at the 5 during crunch time most games. If he’s not on, they’ll play RoLo, but for the most part it’s Lauri and Niko to close out games.

The guy isn’t going to lock anyone up, but he does play with more physicality than you’d think, and he’s a solid rebounder.

The flip side is that the Bulls win a game or two in next week they would have lost without Mirotic. Their own pick in lower spot in the top 10 is a worse any gain from our pick being a bit higher.

Mirotic is good but I still feel like we need someone who can create his own offense and some damn rebounding. IDK how he helps with that.

24/9 per 36

He’d help. Nothing can help effort though, that’s on the players. Who all look checked it at this point.

Maybe Hill coming back will help some but we need another PG

Yeah I know we can hit the buyout market and get a big man that can help with rebounding.

I just don't know where we get another wing who can get his own offense if we send the first rounder out for Mirotic. Really wish we could get Grant or Holiday in the deal but I don't see how that happens.

Hill is pretty good at running offense, so he will help there. He isn't going to scare teams from deep, but he is nifty enough with the ball and sees the floor well.
