Did Jahlil Okafor not have any trade value at the deadline?

He seems to be the last guy off the bench for this team and not a very good fit with the offense but he had some really nice games last season when he got to play extended minutes and he looked to be in better shape. I wish we managed to keep Christian Wood over Okafor or Keinrich Williams. He has been one of the few missteps by this front office. Melli is a nice player but Imi think Wood’s ability to run the court would have been the exact big man off the bench we need right now.

What you'd get for him right now is definitely not worth what he can still become.

What do you think another team would have been willing to give up for Jahlil Okafor ?
Should be easy to answer your own question here.

If we can keep Okafor for his current pay then he is a definite keep. His post up game is legit. Just keep working at getting better defensively and develop a 3pt shot. We could have much worse end of bench bigs.

"just get better at defense"

We're an average team and he can't break our rotation. What contender is giving up anything of value for him?

He’s definitely not worthless.

Pretty sure Jah spent the break celebrating the formation of the G-League players union, or should have been...because he’s going to be needing it. Might catch on as a rotational big on a lottery team, but as much as I like the kid and his drive, he was born about two decades late.

Andre Drummond might be the worst defensive big in NBA history. Hell Okafor just rosted him not to long ago. He gets destroyed by every center he faces. There are other terrible defensive bigs who get playing time also, teams like Chicago and Charlotte have gotten destroyed by opposing centers. Okafor can play in the league based on what Ive seen some of these other teams run out there.

Okafor has value as an end-of-the-bench guy on a good team or a rotation player on a crummy team. That is to say, as long as he avoids injury, he will likely make an NBA league-minimum salary for the next few years.
So, he has value to a team in that he's better than some G-League guy you'd pick up to replace him. But that doesn't mean that he has trade value. He's not good enough for anyone to give up anything, even a 2nd-round pick, in order to get him.
I don't know if Okafor will be on the team next season. They are going to have to free up three spots if they want to bring in Didi and two draft picks. (That would mean that our other two 2nd-round picks are either used to trade up, or they are used to draft-and-stash, or they are sold -- we aren't going to want more than three rookies coming in.) Obviously, we aren't going to re-sign Darius Miller. Let's assume for now that we get Favors back and keep Jrue, and that we let E'Twaun walk. We'd still need to clear out one of Frank/Kenrich/Okafor. Obviously, who goes depends somewhat on who we draft and what positions they play, but Okafor could definitely be gone if we take another center.

I don’t think Jah has reached his offensive potential yet, but he’s just so bad defensively, it’s actually kind of sad.
In the 80s, he’d be at least a fringe all star.

He has one amazing post move: that spinning jump hook. It's good once or twice, and then opposing bigs start looking for it and shut it down, or the double team starts coming to that spot.
If he's going to really be an offensive weapon in the post, he needs a counter, and he doesn't have one.
That would be just as true in the 80s.
