In fairness, fireworks are illegal because they could burn down half the state with a bottle rocket.
That said, I was in L.A. this week, just got back home, and there was some talk and some excitement, but I get the feeling that it is starting to seep in with the fans that the Lakers are screwed if they can't get some more players.
I went to L.A. Live Thursday night thinking that there would be a big NBA crowd there by Staples Center watching the draft on the screens and basking in the post-coital glow of getting AD, but the only people there were the ones in line to see Xavier Wulf.
