At last night's Chalk Talk, Dell Demps made it VERY clear he will go BPA in the draft. My gut feeling is that Oladipo will be that player

Also stated Vasquez/Lopez could be starters on title team if there were 3 All-Stars next to them, and they will re-evaluate AFA this summer

Learned some interesting facts about the @Hornets moving forward @ chalk talks with dell demps

He doesn't know, that's just his guess. He thinks the Hornets will end up with the #5 pick and he also thinks Oladipo is the most Demps/Monty player at the top of the draft.

I don't think both could, but one of them could. They just expose each other's defensive liabilities. I think they are both very useful moving forward, though.

He doesn't know. Oladipo's defense makes that a very dell pick.

What is the obsession with him?

quote:

Oladipo doesn’t have much of an offensive foundation at this point … Has a subpar jump shot with mechanics that lack consistency … Not much of a ball handler at this point … Can be out of control and turnover prone … Lacks a great basketball IQ …

Sounds like a SG version of AFA

Oladipo can attack the rim and finish off the dribble in the half-court.

...has a much better, improving jump shot.

This is not from the Chalk Talk I was looking for, but a poster on HR went to a luncheon at the Saints Facility today where Demps did a Q&A. LINK

Not too much new but a few bullet points:
* Vasquez was unequivocally the team leader and he got the impression that Demps saw Vasquez as a long term piece even if it's not as starting PG
* New training facility may be ready by July

I also liked his statements about Jack. I know it didn't help us in the short term, but it has to help our report with free agents when we treat players well like that. Look at the way David West left. He wanted to help the Hornets as the Hornets were trying to help him. If you can get enough of our former players spreading the word that our front office will treat you right, we should see better chances with free agents.

Hell, even Carl Landry got paid for two years worth of work to play one.

I found the training facility news to be the most exciting. A target of July means it should be pretty ready or very close when Demps is recruiting Free Agents.

Not as much as you love my nuts.

I love cost-effective production from players with clear leadership qualities. I know that you prefer completely arbitrary qualitative analysis pulled out of your own arse, but stats count more than anything else in the NBA. Maybe if we could add sparkles to a few of his assists, you'd find them more "valuable."

Dude, that was really unnecessary.

If you actually read any of my comments, you'd see that I like Vasquez. I've said he's been growing on me as a PG.

But, you're just a quintessential douchebag whose main goal is to be a condescending prick to everyone who doesn't agree with your views.

Nonetheless, carry on with your douchebaggery. Phaggit arse phaggit.

Maybe, but it was accurate and felt good.
