Per Woj latest article:

Multiple league sources expect the agent and star to soon deliver word throughout the league that Davis’ preferred destination is the Lakers and he’ll become a rental player until 2020 with a trade anywhere else.

This article is clearly biased in pushing Davis to LA but he’s be more than happy going to the Knicks with Kyrie

Was listening to Zach Lowe podcast and they said Davis is cool with NY or Los Angeles, and I think isn’t against going to Boston. He just wants a chance to win titles.

I’m cool with AD demanding trade, but if he tries to screw Pels over by forcing Lakers deal, frick him.

Jesus Christ the NBA desperately wants the Lakers to be relevant again. Didn’t think Woj would sink this low.

I’d ship him to anywhere but LA but I’m sure we’ll show our belly and take a shite package for AD

Agreed. Even if this is true and it dilutes the offers then so be it. If you have to trade him for just Tatum or just the Knicks #1 pick you do it just to piss off the Lakers and LeBron and to waste two years of LeBrons career. He’d be 36 by the time AD got to LA.

Good luck winning with a 36 year old LeBron and no one else since they won’t be able to afford anyone else

Relative to specific talks of a trade, we will do this on our terms and our timeline. One that makes the most sense for our team and it will not be dictated by those outside of our organization. -Pelicans

I hope they stick to their guns.

I think will come down to Zion or Tatum and who the org thinks will be best for the franchise

If the decision is close, we'd get two more years of control with Zion...

Lebron's vulture's have probably already been in Zion's ear for 2 years. Complicates things if Klutch signs him.

Two of these things are not currently like the other.

I'm just going to hope and pray that Silver sees AD winding up as a Laker being bad for the NBA. So, he gifts the 1st overall pick to New York. We make a trade for that (Zion), frank ntilikina, Knox, and either Hardaway or Kristaps Porzingis

New York then has the opportunity to sign Durant, Irving, or Walker to pair with AD

Lakers get:
Anthony Davis
Kenrich Williams

Suns get:
Lonzo Ball
Tim Frazier
2020 2nd round (LAL)
2021 2nd round (NOP)

Pelicans get:
TJ Warren
Brandon Ingram
Kyle Kuzma
Ivica Zubac
Lance Stephenson
2019 1st round (LAL)
2021 1st round (LAL)
2023 1st round (LAL)

Trade Randle, Moore, and Niko to some teams in the 5-10 range in either conference for 2 firsts a couple 2nds and maybe a project. Test the water on Jrue, his value is at its peak.

I don’t understand why Boston is not a preferred destination. They have a top 3 coach, one of the best GM’s and easier to get to the finals. If I were an NBA star that is where I would want to be right now. This isn’t about playing for championships but being LeBrons puppet.

This is the only offer I consider with Lakers involved:

Pels get: Mike Conley, Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, Zubac, Lakers 2019 pick, 2020 pick swap option, Lakers 2021 pick, 2022 swap option

Lakers get: AD and Solo

Memphis gets: Lonzo, Wes, KCP, Frazier

I would move Randle and Moore in other deals. Lets say I get Marvin Williams and Hornets 1st round pick

Conley/Frank
Jrue/Hart
Ingram/Kuzma
Niko/M. Williams
Zubac/Jah

Have the 9th, 14th, and 16th pick in the 2019 draft. Would have two 2021 picks, swap options in 2020 and 2022 - never know what could happen.

I wouldn't HATE that

Oh he’s going to say it. That was the entire point of leaking this in the first place, to try and force a move now so the Lakers weak trade assets don’t have to actually compete in a bidding war for AD. The only thing that could stop it is if enough other teams get pissed about what’s going on and complain to the league like they did a few months ago. That was why the Pels adding that sentence about tampering in the statement they issued.
