Oh yea, slipped my mind when I asked the question.

Thibodeau pretty much ruled out playing Noah, Gasol and Gibson at same time for defense. Said lineup could've worked in 90s, not now.

None of those guys is the shooter that Anderson is, so it's a little different from our situation. That said, I hope we don't see a lot of Asik/Davis/Anderson lineups. I guess if you do end up with Anderson guarding 2 and 3s, you probably need Davis and Asik playing behind him.

Babbit's your only backup stretch 4

How important is a backup stretch 4? I'd like for Fells and Babbit to battle it out for the last spot.

There is a ton of overreaction from 4 SL games going on in this thread.

By saying that you want a guy that's shooting well to battle it out for the last roster spot with another guy who is a fringe NBA player?

Thibbs don't care about shooting.

Not important at all unless Ryno goes down. And they almost cut Babbit to clear cap, so it's probably safe to assume he's #15 and if Fells is battling with anyone it'd be Babbit.

While Fells honestly looks like a better player Babbitt serves more of a need because he can back up 3 and the 4. Tough call but I'd go with Babbit.

It would also be kind of a d-bag move for Demps to pull Babbitt out of summer league and then give his roster spot to a guy who performed well in summer league.

True, but Demps literally paid money to rescue Babbitt from Russia, so I don't think he'd hold it against us.

I agree, business is business but it would still be unfortunate. I also get the impression that Demps is the kind of guy who is very aware of his reputation and wants to come across as doing right by his players. Not saying Demps wouldn't do it but I think that would at least weigh into a decision.

Fells is not really a 3 though is he? Would we need another 2 given Jimmer just signed? I think Miller had the advantage of also being very close friends with AD.

I'm thinking miller/ Babbitt/ withey may be some kind of packaged filler that may go with EG somewhere.

I don't know a lot about NBA trades, but why would another team see our end of bench players (none of whom have any trade value) as a sweetener to take Sandy?

I don't see it.
